The most commonly used neuroimaging biomarkers of brain structure, particularly in neurodegenerative diseases, have traditionally been summary measurements from ROIs derived structural MRI, such as volume and thickness. Advances MR acquisition techniques, including high-field imaging, emergence learning-based methods opened up opportunities to interrogate structure finer detail, allowing investigators move beyond macrostructural measurements. On the one hand, superior signal contrast has potential make appearance-based metrics that directly analyze intensity patterns, texture analysis radiomics features, more reliable. Quantitative at high-field, can also provide a richer set measures with greater interpretability. other use neural networks-based techniques exploit subtle patterns images now be mined advanced imaging.
