Childhood maltreatment (CM) is known to influence brain development. To obtain a better understanding of related alterations, recent research has focused on the type and timing CM. We aimed investigate association between CM local volume. Anatomical magnetic resonance images were collected from 93 participants (79 female/14 male) with history was assessed German Interview Version "Maltreatment Abuse Chronology Exposure" scale, "KERF-40 + ". Random forest regressions performed assess impact characteristics volume amygdala, hippocampus anterior cingulate cortex (ACC). The left ACC predicted by neglect at age 3 4 abuse 16 in model including both For right ACC, overall severity duration had greatest volumetric alterations. Our data point an volume, which most pronounced early childhood adolescence. not able replicate previously reported effects amygdala hippocampal

Childhood maltreatment has been demonstrated to impact brain development. However, whether childhood can influence the effects of recent stress on networks remains unclear. This study aimed investigate moderates longitudinal relationship between life and within- between-network connectivity in key networks, including anterior salience (ASN), central executive (CEN), default mode (DMN), emotional regulation network (ERN). A cohort 172 individuals from Neuroscience Psychiatry Network (NSPN) underwent MRI scans at two specific time points undertook evaluations stress. The results showed that abuse moderated association with within-network ASN ERN but not DMN CEN. Furthermore, significantly interacted be associated ASN-DMN, ASN-CEN, ASN-ERN, DMN-ERN CEN-ERN. Overall, among youth exposed higher degrees abuse, greater was longitudinally increased connectivity. Understanding these interactions provide valuable insights for developing prevention strategies interventions mitigating lasting development overall well-being.
