The increase in population and rapid industrial development have resulted surface water pollution that stresses groundwater resources to ensure sustainable consumption human well-being. present study was aimed assess the physico-chemical characteristics heavy metal concentration of Aizawl city. also seeks determine indicator parameters quality through analysis variance (ANOVA) correlation coefficient relation properties. results revealed all were within regulatory standards, except turbidity (80.9 NTU) phosphate (0.6365 mg/L). Trace amounts Zinc (Zn) Copper (Cu) present; however, Iron (Fe) Manganese (Mn) slightly exceeded (Fe: 1.162 mg/L; Mn: 0.6892 mg/L) permissible limit. Statistically, two-way ANOVA temperature, chloride, total alkalinity (TA), hardness (TH), calcium, dissolved oxygen (DO) significant (p<0.001) both between sites seasons. Further, TH showed positive with solid (TDS) (R2=0.792), chloride (R2=0.52), TA (R2=0.62), calcium (R2=0.88), Zn (R2=0.61). Conversely, DO demonstrated negative (R2=-0.73), (R2=-0.52), phosphates (R2=-0.70), ammonia (R2=-0.81), Mn (R2=-0.58). These indicate can serve function as proxies for indirectly indicating presence concentrations other correlated parameters. Thus, act holistic monitoring Aizawl. identification play a key role future research cost-effective, rapid, seasonal management this resource.

The excessive use of energy from fossil fuels, which corresponds to population, industrialisation, and unsustainable economic growth, is the cause carbon dioxide production climate change. Water–Energy–Food (WEF) nexus an applicable conceptual framework that helps manage balance between human development natural resource constraints, it becomes a valuable tool address challenges depletion clean energy. This article aims analyse relationship WEF through statistical analysis systematic review knowledge on sustainability. methodology involves selection bibliographic information databases such as Scopus Web Science (WoS), analysis, specifically Scientometrics applied obtained, identification 179 scientific publications related study variables screening process called Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). interaction green sustainability with has been approached mainly by developed countries China (10%), United States (9.49%), India (7.26%), Brazil (5.02%). 55 papers identified strategies growth environmental impact, applying systems (e.g., solar wind), importance adaptation subsystems nexus. also highlights adaptability change in rural urban communities. Therefore, consistent four pillars sustainable (Economic: 7 papers, Environmental: 22, Social: 18, Cultural: 8). following: (a) renewable either mixed consumption, storage, seeking efficiency adapted diverse environments (b) relevance community participation decision-making energy, strategy adaptation.

Abstract This study conducts a comprehensive review of macroeconomic models within the Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystem (WEFE) nexus, considering four different approaches: computable general equilibrium (CGE) models, integrated assessment (IAMs), agent-based (ABMs), dynamic stochastic (DSGE) models. Specifically, we examine how represent not only WEFE nexus as whole but also its individual components their combinations. Spanning collection 77 papers published in last 20 years, this underscores prevalence CGE IAMs, followed by ABMs, dominant avenues research field. frequently investigate interconnections between pairs elements, while IAMs focus on nexus. At same time, ABMs do exhibit clear pattern, whereas DSGE predominantly concentrate energy component alone. Overall, our findings indicate that development is still early stages. potentially allow analysis uncertainty risk field, might offer new insights into complex interactions natural human systems lack common framework.

The escalating demand for water, energy, and food, coupled with the imperative sustainable development, necessitates innovative solutions to address complex interdependencies within water–energy–food nexus. In this context, agriculture photovoltaics (Agri-PV or Agri–voltaics) systems have emerged as a promising approach promoting agricultural practices while enhancing energy efficiency food production. However, limited research, especially on technical aspects of Agri-PV, has resulted in knowledge gap regarding how model determine suitability Agri-PV different crops based local conditions. This study presents novel modeling simulating various major developing countries, using Uzbekistan case study. It provides blueprint selecting suitable systems. research investigates feasibility technology tailored Uzbekistan’s landscape, broader implications Central Asia. Employing systematic methodology, begins by appropriate sites system testing, ensuring relevance applicability findings context. Using advanced software tools such PVSyst, accurately calculates photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) values specific selected crops, bridging significant providing empirical data essential informed decision making. methodology further incorporates an in-depth analysis economic considerations PV modules inverters, scientific accuracy By strategically parameters like row density, module distance, tilt angle, aims optimize integration photovoltaic Uzbekistan. Moreover, helps understand impact nexus, valuable insights into potential benefits challenges region. identifies positive design farming practices.
