Background Obesity- characterized by excessive adiposity- is associated with various comorbidities, including metabolic, cardiovascular, and liver diseases. Chronic low-grade inflammation a key factor in complications obesity. This study aimed to investigate the associations between systemic inflammatory indices (SIIs) weight-adjusted waist index (WWI), alongside metabolic function biomarkers overweight obese individuals. Method cross-sectional included 350 or participants (body mass (BMI) ≥ 25 kg/m 2 ) from both genders. Weight, height, waist, hip, neck circumferences were measured BMI, WWI, ratios of height (WHtR) hip (WHR) estimated. Fasting blood samples taken assess SII as well parameters. Results In this study, males had significantly higher weight WC compared females, whereas mean level WWI (p < 0001) WHtR = 0.01) women greater than men. A significant correlation was observed (r 0.113, p 0.039), other HbA1c levels −0.117, 0.033) monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), fasting sugar (FBS) neutrophil-to-lymphocyte NLR 0.110, 0.041). quartiles showed differences aspartate aminotransferase AST 0.001), variations MLR also −0.112, 0.043). Conclusion Our results reveal strong correlations markers, SII, MLR, PLR, important obesity measures, parameters individuals

Global health issues related to obesity are growing. Visceral adipose tissue (VAT) significantly contributes complications associated with obesity. Reducing accumulation can improves inflammation. However, it is still unknown how the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and VAT area related. With help of multivariate linear regression smooth curve fitting, relationship between SII was explored data from 2013 2014 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Analyzing subgroups testing for interaction were used investigate whether accurate across demographics. From 20 59 years age, 3,290 individuals observed have a positive correlation area. In accordance fully adjusted model, increased by 9.34 cm2 every unit increase in log [β = 9.34, 95% CI (4.02, 14.67)]. highest quartile SII, 5.46 5.46, (2.21, 8.71)] higher than that lowest quartile. Additionally, population overweight or obese showed stronger correlation. has US adults. may be valuable clinical applications evaluate severity

Central obesity in children represents a significant public health concern due to its strong association with an elevated risk of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders. The systemic immune inflammation index (SII) has been implicated the pathophysiology obesity-related chronic inflammation. Despite potential relevance, specific relationship between central SII pediatric population remains insufficiently explored. objective this study was examine obesity, particular focus on as predictor means preventing at early stage life. Waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), subcutaneous fat, visceral fat were employed proxies. defined according WHtR cutoff value 0.46. implications examined sample 4,730 individuals 2021 validated through prospective involving 1,425 subjects 2023. Cross-sectional associations using binomial logistic regression models generalized linear models. restricted cubic spline used explore non-linear indicators. In study, we modified Poisson model investigate causal obesity. Cross-sectionally, adolescents highest quartile levels exhibited greatest for obesity(OR=3.07, 95% CI:2.45~3.87) when compared those lowest quartile. Subgroup analyses showed that higher associated Longitudinally, found have developing (RR=1.83, CI:1.18~2.83) over time.
