Identifying illegal fishing activities from Automatic Identification System (AIS) data is difficult since AIS messages are broadcast cooperatively, the ship’s master controls timing, and content of transmission interest usually occur far away shore. This paper presents our work to predict ship types using satellites: in such data, there a pronounced imbalance between for different ships, refresh rate relatively low, misreporting information. To mitigate these issues, prediction algorithm only uses sequence ports ships visited, as inferred positions reported messages. Experiments involving multiple machine learning algorithms showed that port visits informative features when inferring type. In particular, this was shown be case vessels, which focus paper. We then applied KD-tree efficiently identify pairs close one another. In the maritime domain, hydrogen fuel cell propulsion and autonomous vessels are two important issues that yet to be implemented together because of a few challenges. It is obvious there several individual safety studies on Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships storage as well cells based various risk assessment tools but combined include with recent analysis methods extremely limited. This research chooses “System-Theoretic Process Analysis” (STPA) method which for potential identification mitigation. Both analyzed assessed STPA method. Results not speculative rather flexible compared conventional systems. The study finds total 44 unsafe control actions (UCAs) evolved from human central unit controllers through STPA. Further, loss scenarios (LS) identified lead those UCAs so can mitigated safe operation. objective this ensure adequate vessels.

Recently, several initiatives regarding maritime autonomous surface ships (MASSs) have been implemented worldwide. One of the fundamental technologies for attaining MASSs is recognition and localization surrounding ships. Traditional navigational instruments are inadequate recognizing objects, authors investigated potential stereo vision. Conventional camera systems not suitable localizing very distant objects. proposed solution to use an additional camera, thus using three-camera measurements objects at long distances reduce positional measurement errors, incorporating time-series averaging keypoint-based techniques. This study evaluated experimentally accuracy three ship-mounted cameras. The precision depend on distance between positions, referred as baseline length. cameras typically used measure up 200 times indicates that, trinocular vision, a target ship 2500 m, which 500 length, can be measured with approximately 5% RMSE.
