The autonomous operation of a device or system is one the many vital tasks that need to be achieved in areas industry. This also true for maritime transport. paper introduces an approach developed order achieve ship port. A safe trajectory was calculated with use Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm. motion control based on two controllers: master overriding controller (OTC) and slave low speed Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) method. object model Very Large Crude Carrier Blue Lady. results our simulation tests, which show trajectories by ACO algorithm executed using designed controllers (OTC LMI), are presented this paper. present maneuvers Lady when at area where tests were conducted located Ship Handling, Research Training Center Foundation Shipping Safety Environmental Protection Lake Silm Kamionka, Poland.
