A new multi-method decision framework for anchor selection and tenant mix allocation optimisation in shopping malls

The increasing urbanisation and fast-paced lifestyle have heightened the importance of shopping malls in retail industry, altering traditional patterns by designing efficient space optimise time shoppers. Due to this newly-acquired importance, these become critical players industry sector. Despite their significance, current research lacks comprehensive scientific methods two aspects: classification anchors (or magnet shops) regular tenants, detailed analysis interrelations among tenants within malls. Both aspects are heavily related strategic allocation shops position For addressing gaps, paper introduces a multi-method framework expert system classify positions mall, considering categories existing product relationships. This comprises new sorting method, modified ranking correlation technique based on implementing ecological dynamics, an interrelation index, metaheuristic algorithm. practical application is demonstrated through real-world case study, highlighting its potential significantly improve mall management efficiency. effect proposed subject empirical tests comparison between layout modifications.
