Background: COVID-19, whose etiologic agent is SARS-CoV-2, an RNA virus, characterized by a high mutation rate. Therefore, while more subjects are infected, greater probability that the virus will potentially undergo changes confer evolutionary advantages (immune response evasion, increased virulence, and reduced vaccination efficacy). Efforts to acquire herd immunity through may be compromised in low- middle-income countries, where process slow inequitable. This lead new variant outbreaks with transmission capacity. it important surveillance circulating variants populations. Methods: In this sense, Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, 100 viral genomes of positive patients were sequenced during beginning end third (August 4th September 3rd, 2021) fourth (January February 2nd, 2022) COVID-19 waves. Results: Sequence analysis revealed presence several variants; alpha (B.1.1.7), gamma (P.1), local (B.1.1.519), mu (B.1.621), delta (B.1.617.2), its subtypes (AY.3, AY.4, AY.10, AY.11, AY.20, AY.23.1) wave. Later, wave, still detected (AY.26 AY.113), as well omicron (B.1.1.529) (B.A.1 BA.1.1). Conclusion: Obtained data progressive shift dominant variants, delta, wave

Abstract Background: Vaccinology education forms a cornerstone of effective public health strategies, particularly in the face global challenges such as vaccine hesitancy. This study investigates current state vaccinology within Romanian medical universities, compares it against European standards, and identifies potential gaps curriculum. Methods: We created survey that aimed to determine prevalence concepts curricula perform gap analysis desired competency levels recommended by Society Vaccinology. The was distributed faculty heads independently students across 14 universities Romania. focused on nine key areas vaccinology. Results: Seven participated, three which met inclusion criteria based response rates. revealed while certain vaccinology, historical context immunization aspects immunology, were well covered, practical administration less emphasized. also disparity between student perceptions importance specialized Conclusions: findings underscore significant convergence curriculum educational standards yet highlight need for curricular revisions address less-covered areas. advocate integration courses at advanced stages education. Aligning content with needs perceived can help optimize better prepare professionals challenges.

This study delves into the intricate interplay between trust in personal doctors (GPs), sources of information about recommended vaccines, and willingness to vaccinate against human papillomavirus (HPV) other vaccines. The analysis revealed a positive statistically significant correlation HPV awareness vaccinate. Notably, concerning is high, with 35.6% all respondents expressing readiness receive vaccine. identified doctor as predominant source vaccine-related information. correlations underscore influence medical professionals guiding vaccine uptake choices necessity for targeted communication strategies aimed at enhancing acceptance.
