Abstract We investigated the relationship between foveal avascular zone (FAZ)-related parameters, assessed by optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A), and visual field (VF) progression in early-stage open-angle glaucoma (OAG) eyes with central (CVF) defects. Early-stage [VF mean deviation (MD) ≥ − 6 dB] CVF defects were included. The rates of longitudinal change FAZ-related parameters structural evaluated compared VF progressors non-progressors, using linear mixed effects models. Glaucoma is a chronic neurodegenerative disease, which the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. Outstanding trials animal-model study designs, innovative technology, analytical approaches in bioinformatics essential tools uncover with potential translation into practice.To better understand biochemical-molecular-genetic pathogenesis, we conducted an analytical, observational, case-comparative/control 358 primary open-angle (POAG) patients 226 comparative-control individuals (CG) collect tears, aqueous humor, blood samples be processed identifying POAG by exploring several pathways, such as inflammation, neurotransmitter/neurotrophin alteration, oxidative stress, gene expression, miRNAs fingerprint its targets, vascular endothelial dysfunction, Statistics were done using IBM SPSS 25.0 program.
