As a zero-carbon fuel with superior properties, ammonia has attracted much attention from the combustion industry in recent years. In for gas turbines (GTs), direct of liquid (LNH3) is considered way to increase power, simplify system, and reduce energy consumption. However, due low boiling point high vaporization latent heat ammonia, LNH3 prone flash under GT conditions, leading significant changes its spray characteristics. The current understanding such special still insufficient. this paper, particle droplet image analysis, Mie scattering, thermocouple temperature measurement were conducted continuous normal pressure. Furthermore, large eddy simulation was carried out. quantitative characterization detailed study morphology, parameter distribution, mass transfer, transfer process investigated. This comprehensive techno-economic analysis focuses on a proposed power plant that uses cleaner alternatives to traditional combustion methods. The study meticulously examines ternary blends of ammonia, refuse-derived fuels (RDFs), and coal. Utilizing an Aspen Plus simulation equilibrium model, thorough review the relevant literature, evaluation reports biomass-to-energy plants ammonia combustion, spans 20 years. It considers vital financial metrics such as net present value (NPV), internal rate return (IRR), payback period (PBP). findings indicate pure coal is most energy-efficient but has highest global warming potential (GWP). In contrast, RDF significantly reduce GWP, with showing 3215% lower GWP than Economically, remains attractive option. However, 80% coal, 10% also show promise PBP 11.20 years at 15% discount rate. These results highlight balance environmental economic considerations in generation.
