Migraine is a widespread and intricate neurological condition that involves various factors marked by recurring headache episodes. among the ten conditions accounting for greatest disability in whole population, leading cause of children adolescents aged 5–19 years, second adults 20–59 years. Magnesium deficiency also very common resulting from diverse reasons, including insufficient dietary consumption or increased loss through gastrointestinal renal system. Accumulated evidence case reports, case–control studies, observational randomized, placebo-controlled trials has shown effectiveness magnesium supplementation alleviating migraine, both acutely chronically. Mechanisms may help explain these results include potential link between deficit spreading cortical depression, vascular changes, oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, nervous excitation, neurotransmitter release, electrolyte imbalances.
