Lung-intestinal homoeopathy is a comprehensive therapeutic strategy that combines traditional theories of Chinese medicine and modern medical concepts. We review the clinical progress lung-gut on immune function. aiming to positively affect function patients with lung diseases. By regulating intestinal microbiota, influencing mucosal immunity, modulating mediators, some treatments has been proved be effective. In addition, lung-intestinal can improve diseases by expression immunity mediators in mucosa play response. Although made regulation function, further studies are needed verify its efficacy safety.

PANoptosis is a newly defined programmed cell death (PCD) triggered by series of stimuli, and it engages three well-learned PCD forms (pyroptosis, apoptosis, necroptosis) concomitantly. Normally, recognized as strategy to eliminate unnecessary cells, inhibit the proliferation invaded pathogens maintain homeostasis; however, vigorous can cause excessive inflammation tissue damage. Acute lung injury (ALI) chronic obstructive pulmonary syndrome (COPD) exacerbation related several (e.g., influenza A virus, SARS-CoV-2) known PANoptosis. An understanding mechanism specific regulators may help address pathological systems these diseases. This review presents our potential role in different

Abstract Apoptosis plays a pivotal role in pathogen elimination and maintaining homeostasis. However, viruses have evolved strategies to evade apoptosis, enabling their persistence within the host. Z-DNA binding protein 1 (ZBP1) is potent innate immune sensor that detects cytoplasmic nucleic acids activates response clear pathogens. When apoptosis inhibited by viral invasion, ZBP1 can be activated compensate for effect of triggering an response. This review examined mechanisms inhibition activation during invasion. The authors outlined ZBP1-induced type I interferon, pyroptosis necroptosis, as well crosstalk between cGAS-STING signalling pathway. Furthermore, reverse suppression apoptotic signals induced viruses. Intriguingly, positive feedback loop exists pathway, which intensifies while cytokine storm, leading tissue organ damage. prudent use ZBP1, double-edged sword, has significant clinical implications treating infections inflammation.

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a chronic interstitial lung illness characterized by its high worldwide prevalence, unknown etiology, and dismal prognosis. Lonicerae Japonicae Flos, commonly used traditional Chinese medicine for treating PF, rich in Rhoifolin (ROF). Although numerous studies have demonstrated the anti-inflammatory properties of ROF, potential anti-fibrotic effects remain uncertain. In this study, we established PF model Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats utilizing Bleomycin (BLM). We then assessed impact ROF on histology appearance, measured content level Superoxide dismutase (SOD) rat serum, analyzed changes α-SMA, TGF-β relative mRNA expression using PCR, SMAD Family Member 7 (Smad7), Heme Oxygenase-1 (HO-1) protein tissue Western Blot. Additionally, induced cell injury A549 cells with BLM. Then after administration, detected viability MTT assay, N-cadherin, Vimentin levels via real-time Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related 2(Nrf2), HO-1, Smad7 proteins The results indicated that mitigated damage reduced degree PF. Furthermore, vivo, N-cadherin while increasing Smad7, HO-1 decreasing α-SMA TGF-β, increased expresson SOD serum vitro, was After decreased significantly, decreased, Nrf2, significantly. This study demonstrates can mitigate symptoms to certain degree, mechanism action intimately linked Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway. Therefore, indicates may serve as therapeutic agent Not applicable.

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is an irreversible lung disease that severely affects human respiratory function. Traditionally, the natural plant Quzhou Fructus Arantii (QFA) has therapeutic effects on diseases. However, and mechanism of anti-fibrotic have not been elucidated. In this study, QFAE-nB was extracted from QFA, aims study include understanding correlation between Bleomycin (BLM)-induced PF STING pathway in mice, as well exploring role mechanisms treatment PF. six main chemical components were identified by HPLC–QTOF–MS/MS, quantitative analysis conducted HPLC. qPCR Western blot used to verify molecular QFAE-nB, effect determined hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining Masson immunohistochemistry. TREX1-KO STING-KO mice relationship important target action QFAE-nB. Six flavonoids eriocitrin (0.76%), neoeriocitrin (2.79%), narirutin (4.31%), naringin (35.41%), hesperidin (1.74%), neohesperidin (27.18%). The results showed BLM-induced associated with its exacerbated release proinflammatory factors chemokines tissues. addition, alleviated inhibiting activation signaling reducing signal transduction TBK1–IRF3 TBK1–NF-κB pathways. Notably, knockout TREX1 gene caused massive inflammation even induced tissues, whereas effectively reduced deletion suppressed inflammation, but treated lower expression levels chemokine. plays PF, alleviates mainly targeting inhibition reduce inflammation. Together, paves way for treatment.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a class of fibrosing interstitial lung diseases caused by many pathogenic factors inside and outside the lung, with unknown mechanisms without effective treatment. Therefore, comprehensive understanding molecular mechanism implicated in pulmonary pathogenesis urgently needed to develop new measures. Although circRNAs have been widely acknowledged as contributors occurrence development diseases, only small number functionally characterized fibrosis. Here, we systematically review biogenesis functions focus on how participate fibrogenesis influencing various cell fates. Meanwhile, analyze current exploration diagnostic biomarker, vaccine, therapeutic target objectively discuss challenges circRNA- based therapy for We hope that implication will provide insights into circRNA-based approaches treat
