Abstract Background Functional dyspepsia (FD) is the most prevalent gastrointestinal disorder worldwide. Current medicine often faces limitations in treatment of FD. Traditional Chinese (TCM), with a history thousands years, offers great contribution to people Jiao Wei Xiao Shi decoction (JWXSD) traditional medical prescription. However, efficacy JWXSD FD lacking. Therefore, this study will evaluate and safety for Methods A randomized controlled trial be conducted at Beijing University Medicine. 72 participants randomly allocated three groups (JWXSD groups, Mosapride group Placebogroup) ratio 1:1:1. The primary outcome Nepean Dyspepsia Symptom Index (NDSI). secondary outcomes include Life Quality (NDLQI), Body Mass (BMI) Pittsburgh Sleep Index(PSQI). Primary evaluated weeks 1, 3, 4, 8, 12 16. Adverse events assessed during study. Discussion The from compare JWXSD, mosapride placebo participants. This provide clinical evidence that can help improve Trial registration Chinese Clinical Trial Registry: ChiCTR2400082798. Registered on April 2024.

Invasive alien plants are typically associated with negative impacts on ecosystems and sometimes health, but studies also describe their ethnomedicinal usage, particularly by indigenous communities. Given the existing limitations regarding a critical study berry-producing invasive plants, this aims to provide scientific evidence much-needed updated knowledge pharmacologically significant fruits of several plants. A list 35 species from 16 families is provided, along characteristics, historical medicinal uses, biological activities, available toxicity data. The definitions, terminology, classification criteria used species, specifically types, provided. Most berries described exhibit remarkable antioxidant properties due abundance highly reactive molecules, mainly polyphenols carotenoids. Other ranging antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic anticancer neuroprotective have been identified. In contrast, quantitative issues poorly studied for Hopefully, work will serve as starting point further exploration molecules these in terms drug discovery advance various therapies or other applications.
