Abstract As the main active compound of Glycyrrhiza glabra L., glabridin (GLD) has been shown to have multiple bioactivities, whereas clinical application GLD is restricted by its low water solubility. In this study, was encapsulated into a sulfobutylether‐β‐cyclodextrin (SBE‐β‐CD)‐based inclusion complex (SBE‐β‐CD/GLD) freeze‐drying method. The materials characterization, antibacterial activity, stimulated cellular behavior and in vivo full‐thickness diabetic wound healing ability hydrogels were assessed analyzed. successful encapsulation confirmed ultraviolet (UV) visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR), X‐ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). SBE‐β‐CD as an excipient significantly enhances solubility GLD, SBE‐β‐CD/GLD showed excellent biocompatibility on human vascular endothelial cells (HUVECs) erythrocytes. exerted pronounced activity Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli vitro. markedly enhanced antioxidant compared with free GLD. potently accelerates skin defects inhibiting inflammation. outcomes suggest that could be used promising drug delivery system for

This study aimed to investigate the effects of fermentation on physicochemical properties and in vitro antioxidant activities Glycyrrhiza leaf, compare structures unfermented (GLP) fermented (FGLP) polysaccharides, assess their growth-promoting using zebrafish embryos. The results showed that polysaccharide content, extract yield, reduced sugar content leaf increased significantly after 36 h fermentation. In parallel, assays demonstrated for exhibited strong DPPH, hydroxyl radical scavenging, reducing power. Scanning electron microscope infrared spectroscopy analyses revealed differences surface morphology with both polysaccharides being acidic containing pyranose rings α-glycosidic bonds. molecular weight FGLP was lower than GLP, molar ratios guluronic acid, amino glucose, glucuronic xylose, arabinose were increased. model, promoted growth development embryos, most pronounced effect at a concentration 20 µg/mL superior protective against lipid peroxidation cell death induced by 2,2′-azobis (2-methylpropionamidine) dihydrochloride. findings could enhance utilization capacity. These opened avenues further research into bioavailability vivo offered valuable insights its potential as natural innovative antioxidant. Highlights

Drug-target interaction prediction is critical for drug development. Through the integration of structural and transcriptional signature information, molecules both binding to target inducing therapeutic activities could be found out improve targeted prediction. Therefore, approaches that integrate two types data are worth exploring. Here, we present an integrated method named Data Integration Oriented Repurposing Strategy (DIORS) combining molecular docking gene-signature matching enhance protein-targeted drugs. The StandardScaler algorithm was selected after evaluation five algorithms used in DIORS. Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) verify affinities cell-based assays were DIORS predicted molecules. In Piezo1-targeted molecule prediction, among top ten by DIORS, four them, namely gefitinib, rifaximin, bosutinib vandetanib, exhibited affinities. TLR4/MD2-targeted anti-inflammatory molecules, three enoxolone, dabrafenib ponatinib, exhibit high activities. results demonstrated can serve as a better approach with performance predict find new drugs information.

Licochalcone A (Lico-A) is a flavonoid compound derived from the root of Glycyrrhiza species, plant commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine. While species has shown promise treating various diseases such as cancer, obesity, and skin due to its active compounds, investigation A’s effects on central nervous system potential application Alzheimer’s disease (AD) treatment have garnered significant interest. Studies reported neuroprotective Lico-A, suggesting multitarget compound. Lico-A acts PTP1B inhibitor, enhancing cognitive activity through BDNF-TrkB pathway exhibiting inhibitory microglia activation, which enables mitigation neuroinflammation. Moreover, inhibits c-Jun N-terminal kinase 1, key enzyme involved tau phosphorylation, modulates brain insulin receptor, plays role processes. also an acetylcholinesterase leading increased levels neurotransmitter acetylcholine (Ach) brain. This mechanism enhances capacity individuals with AD. Finally, ability reduce amyloid plaques, hallmark AD, exhibits antioxidant properties by activating nuclear factor erythroid 2-related 2 (Nrf2), regulator defense mechanisms. In present review, we discuss available findings analyzing agent. Continued research holds for development novel treatments disorders neurodegenerative diseases, including Further investigations into action elucidation underlying mechanisms will contribute our understanding therapeutic potential.

Loading 10 wt% G. extract-curcumin (50:50) by electrospinng technique resulted in the formation nanofibers (NFs) with diameter distribution 303 ± 38 had uniform defect-free morphology. FTIR analysis confirmed loading components without adverse interactions. Also, results showed extremely high porosity, extraordinary liquid absorption capacity, complete wettability. In addition, significant antioxidant activity their release profile from NFs was continuous sustained. prepared NF could growth both Gram-positive Saureus Gram-negative E. coli strains. Wound healing evaluation infected animal model that caused full closure accelerated skin regeneration. The studies on inhibiting bacteria at site also revealed inhibitory effects. Moreover, histopathology regeneration layers, collagen fibers, angiogenesis. Finally, PVA/CS as multifunctional bioactive presented promising approach for promoting wounds.
