Recently, the meta-surface (MS) has emerged as a promising alternative method for generating vortex waves. At same time, MS also faces problem of narrow bandwidth; in order to obtain broad bandwidth, unit cell structure becomes more and complex, which will bring many inconveniences preparation process devices. Therefore, we want design simple with multi-frequency selection. In this paper, based on principle geometric phase, reflective metal double-slit resonant ring. We elaborate resonance mechanism cell. Under normal incidence circularly polarized (CP) waves, reflection coefficient polarization was greater than 85%. By rotating orientation angle resonator cell, continuous 2 π phase coverage satisfied frequency range 0.52–1.1 THz, relative bandwidth 71.6%. Based this, construct generator by using 15×15 array. The right-handed (RCP) waves left-handed (LCP) wave are separately incident topological charges l =+1,+2,+3 under multiple frequencies. generated RCP =−1,−2,−3 LCP =+1,+2,+3. numerical simulation results demonstrate that our designed MS, capable achieving outcomes, can effectively operate multi-broadband mode produce wide-band beam. addition, calculate pattern purity. Through theoretical analysis simulation, prove generate broadband wave.

Metasurfaces (MSs) are being extensively researched owing to their ability modulate the polarization and wavefront of electromagnetic (EM) waves in a flexible manner, which usually offer significant advantages including ultra-thinness, low losses, easy fabrication. However, conventional MSs typically operate well only with single polarization. Here, we propose novel design strategy for terahertz (THz) reflective-mode MS that relies on unit-cell arrangement combining propagation phase geometric phase. Our designed can achieve multiple manipulations reflection mode, not limited circular (CP) transformation, but also enabling linear (LP) conversion. The consists periodic array bilayered metal patterned resonator structures sandwiched by dielectric substrate. metallic is made outer single-split-ring (SSR) C-shaped slot (CSS), inner double-split-ring (DSR), its complementary structure. With this design, capable converting LP wave orthogonal counterpart at lower frequency ( f 1 =0.7THz) after reflection. Additionally, higher 2 =1.4THz), proposed convert right-handed CP (RCP) left-handed (LCP) upon or vice versa. π full coverage be achieved independently simultaneously adjusting opening orientation angles SSR based phase, angle DSR We numerically demonstrate beam deflection, planar focusing, vortex both reflected three representative provide proof concept. The conventional design approaches for achieving perfect absorption of electromagnetic (EM) waves using metasurface absorbers (MSAs) are limited to absorbing in one direction while reflecting the other. In this study, a novel ultrathin narrowband MSA with bidirectional properties has been proposed, based on tri-layer metal square-circular-square patch (SCSP) structure. simulation results demonstrate that proposed exhibits remarkable absorbance 98.1%, which is consistent experimental and theoretical calculations. equivalent constitutive parameters were retrieved, as well simulated surface current power loss density distributions, reveal designed originates from fundamental dipolar resonance. Furthermore, demonstrates stable wide-angle both transverse electric (TE) magnetic (TM) under various oblique incidence angles. characteristics can be fine-tuned by adjusting structural parameters. Additionally, boasts excellent thickness, bidirectional, polarization-insensitive, properties, making it highly suitable range potential applications such imaging, detection, sensing.

It is highly desired to achieve high efficiency polarization converters in visible wavelength region for ultra-compact optical systems which have shown potential applications sensing, communication and imaging. Due the intrinsic property of low loss, all dielectric metasurfaces are more competitive candidates be utilized fabrication than counterparts based on metals. In this paper, we design a bilayer metasurface converter composed Si double-rod resonator placed top glass block with polymer substrate linearly polarized light.
