We humans are capable of solving challenging planning problems, but the range adaptive strategies that we use to address them is not yet fully characterized. Here, designed a series problem-solving tasks require at different depths. After systematically comparing performance participants and models, found when facing problems certain number subgoals (from 1 8), make an their cognitive resources—namely, they tend select initial plan having minimum required depth, rather than selecting same depth for all problems. These results support view as bounded rational process, which adapts costly resources task demands.

This study investigates the neural basis of sound perception in everyday life using EEG data recorded an office-like environment over 3.5 h. We aimed to understand how contextual factors such as personal relevance, task complexity, and stimulus properties influence auditory processing ecologically valid settings. By systematically increasing complexity acoustic scenes tasks, we analyzed changes responses, focusing on N100 P300 components. Abstract In the philosophy of mind and cognitive science, there is a pronounced paradigm shift associated with transition from internalism to externalism. Throughout the 20th century, economics followed lead of cognitive science, but in 21st century it has fallen behind. Cognitive scientists are actively developing theory extended cognition, which gone through three stages (waves) since mid-1990s. Abstract In this study, we introduce a novel maze task designed to investigate naturalistic motor learning in bimanual coordination. We developed and validated an extended set of movement primitives tailored capture the full spectrum scenarios encountered game. Over 3-day training period, evaluated participants’ performance using these custom-developed software, enabling precise quantification performance.
