Advanced elastomers with outstanding strength, toughness, and reusability hold significant potential for diverse applications. Using photochemistry mechanochemistry to develop such materials has become a very effective strategy. Here, we report that photoreversible coumarin-based mechanophores can make force-/light-triggered cycloreversion are chemically incorporated into polyurethane simultaneously enhance their strength toughness. Coumarin dimer mechanophore cross-linkers formed in the elastomer after exposure 365 nm irradiation, leading networks dramatically enhanced mechanical properties. The tensile of HNA-PU2000 coumarin could increase from 13.9 26.9 MPa, elongation at break 726 1053%, toughness 25.6 119.7 MJ·m–3, contrast its counterpart without mechanophores. Additionally, exhibits decent reusable capability via under stress or 254 irradiation. This mechano-/photochemical strategy improve provides facile approach development high-performance materials.

Physical understanding and determination of different analytes without the need for advanced additional equipment are highly important, which can be achieved by using stimuli-induced chromic materials. chemical incorporation responsive chromophores into polymers results in fabrication polymers. Chromic electrospun nanofibers prepared electrospinning technique, their stimuli-responsivity is improved due to high surface-to-volume ratio. This Perspective focuses on recent studies developments nanofibers. Within this Perspective, these divided classes photochromic, thermochromic, electrochromic, mechanochromic, halochromic, solvatochromic, hydrochromic, ionochromic according stimuli they respond. In addition, preparation methods, compounds, conditions, response mechanisms, applications will discussed. The main such food packaging sensors, health monitoring anticounterfeiting materials, ink-free rewritable media, smart clothing. Dual temperature- and photoresponsive polymer nanoparticles with sensitivity toward temperature variation through fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET)-assisted white light emission (WLE) were synthesized using distillation–precipitation polymerization. A chemosensor of temperature, light-emitting anticounterfeiting inks, different products for security encryption confidential documents prepared on the basis FRET mechanism due to an efficient spectral overlap between coumarin donor absorption rhodamine B (RhB) acceptor. At 150 μL RhB doping, a strong WLE was observed as consequence two complementary colors. Abstract Electrospinning offers a versatile platform for developing nanofibrous scaffolds capable of enhancing the therapeutic potential photodynamic therapy (PDT). Photosensitizer (PS) loaded fibers exhibit high surface area‐to‐volume ratio, promoting efficient drug delivery, prolonged retention at target site, and controlled release profiles. Inducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation through light activation targeted approach, selectively generating cytotoxic effects in cancerous or pathogenic cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. This selective cytotoxicity arises because ROS are produced only illuminated areas where PS releases accumulates, limiting their harmful desired regions. Additionally, PS‐loaded highly effective wound healing applications, cell proliferation tissue regeneration providing barrier against microbial infections. review highlights recent advances design biomedical application nanofibers, emphasizing influence on viability effectiveness inhibition, thereby setting stage future innovations cancer therapy, healing, infection control.

Encapsulated phase change materials have gained significant interest in thermal energy storage recent years. Herein, novel thermochromic and fluorescent nanoencapsulated were developed by coencapsulation of crystal violet lactone, bisphenol A, cetyl alcohol or 1-dodecanol, hexadecane into poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) shell cross-linked a coumarin cross-linker through miniemulsion polymerization. Different ternary mixture to PMMA ratios selected elucidate their effect on the final properties dual nanocapsules. Encapsulation core structure investigated Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The nanometric size, core–shell morphology, relatively uniform particle size distribution nanocapsules confirmed field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission dynamic light scattering. Ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance fatigue resistance over 10 cooling–heating cycles, fluorescence illustrated Thermal encapsulation efficiencies measured using differential calorimetry. stability prepared was thermogravimetric analysis. sample with 3:1 ratio encapsulated containing 1-dodecanol as an optimal for different applications due its high color rate −16 26 °C. optimized used anticounterfeiting inks security documents packaging distinguish between original products counterfeit counterparts.
