The detection and control of fungal spores in greenhouse crops are important for stabilizing increasing crop yield. At present, the mainly adopts method combining portable volumetric spore traps microscope image processing. This is problematic as it limited by small field view has low efficiency. study proposes a rapid from based on CMOS sensors diffraction fingerprint feature We built acquisition system collected images three kinds spores. A total 13 features were selected classification These characteristic values divided into 3 categories, main bright fringe, dark center fringe. Then, these calculated to obtain Peak Center ratio (PCR), Valley ratio, (PVR). Based features, logistics regression (LR), K nearest neighbor (KNN), random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM) models built. test results show that SVM model better overall performance than LR, KNN, RF models. average accuracy rate recognition under was 92.72%, while rates 84.97%, 87.44%, 88.72%, respectively. F1-Score value higher, reached 89.41%, which 11.12%, 7.18%, 5.57% higher models, Therefore, proposed this can be used remote identification provide reference advantages cost portability.

The bacterial speck disease of tomato caused by a pathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv. is most important causing severe crop losses.Present study was conducted to investigate and characterize the population diversity P. isolated from infected plants various regions Egypt. Significant variation among isolates observed which demonstrated considerable virulence. All were pathogenic CFU recovered inoculate leaves isolate Pst-2 higher than other isolates. Genetic disparity investigated PCR analysis amplifying hrpZ gene using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD), sequence-related polymorphism (SRAP), inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSR) markers. products for ITS1 found have 810 bp length whereas 536 primer pairs (1406-f/23S-r) (MM5-F, MM5-R) respectively. restriction "ITS" 5 4 endonucleases respectively slight results RAPD, ISSR SRAP showed (60.52%) within may assist successful characterization unique specific markers based on geographical distribution, origin virulence intensity. The present suggested that use molecular approach provide valuable information differentiate classify strains in future detection confirmation pathogenicity.

Mimosoideae is one of the taxonomically complex subfamilies Fabaceae. Several studies have reported pollen morphology taxa and their taxonomic relevance, but no such study was found specifically for Hainan Island in southern China. Therefore, present designed to investigate selected explore new palynological traits support strengthen systematics using multiple microscopic techniques. The polar axis, equatorial diameter grains, colpus length width were measured. smallest grain size Mimosa pudica (7.8 × 7.75 µm), while largest Albizia lebback (87.54 77.97 µm). Similarly, significant variation exine surface patterns. subfamily considered eurypalynous because traits. In addition, also quantitative Comparatively, features be helpful at genus species levels, as well correct identification discrimination taxa. Hence, this gives a detailed account morphologies certain collected from different geographical regions on Island. morphological proven potential can used additional tools These results will provide basis further systematic studies.

Tomato bacterial spot (Bs), caused by Xanthomonas spp., including X. euvesicatoria (Xeu) remains a major threat for tomato production. The emergence of copper resistance strains Xeu calls urgently eco-friendly phytosanitary treatments as sustainable green alternatives disease control. Satureja spp. essential oil (EO) has antimicrobial activity against xanthomonads and combined with zein nanoparticles (ZNPs), might offer viable option field applications. This study aims to evaluate the effects S. montana EO, ZNPs, their combination in nanoformulation, on quantity, how these compounds modulate molecular physiological changes pathosystem. Uninfected infected plants (var. Oxheart) were treated EO; ZNPs nanoformulation (EO + ZNPs). Treatments reduced amount minimum 1.6-fold maximum 202-fold (ZNPs) improved plants’ health. Nanoformulation increased phenolic content. significantly GPX CAT activity. Overall upregulated transcripts phenylpropanoid pathway plants, while those uninfected plants. Both sod aao downregulated These findings demonstrate that are suitable integrate management strategies, mainly due Xeu, however further studies clarifying long-term action products required. results also support prophylactic potential spot.

Pests and diseases have caused significant problems since the domestication of crops, resulting in economic loss hunger. To overcome these problems, synthetic pesticides were developed to control pests; however, there are detrimental side effects on environment human health. There is an urgent need develop safer more sustainable pesticides. Industrial hemp a reservoir compounds that could potentially replace some bactericides, fungicides, insecticides. We determined efficacy industrial extracts against Pseudomonas syringae pv. tabaci (PSTA), tomato (PSTO), Erwinia carotovora (EC). The study revealed minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 2.05 mg/mL non-inhibitory (NIC) 1.2 for PSTA, MIC 5.7 NIC 0.66 PSTO, 12.04 5.4 EC. Time-kill assays indicated regrowth E. at 4 × after 15 h P. 2 20 h; had no regrowth. susceptibility test bacteria extract can be ordered from most susceptible least susceptible, as follows: > carotovora. Overall, data indicate potential source safe biopesticides major plant pathogens.

To address the growing demand for natural sources of drugs, in addition to chemical ones, present study aimed explore phytochemical and biological activity acetone stem bark extract Albizia lebbeck. The phytoconstituents derivatized were analyzed using Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), while phenolic flavonoid compounds High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Six bacterial strains (Serratia marcescens, Acinetobacter johnsonii, Agrobacterium tumefaciens, Bacillus subtilis, Erwinia carotovora, Escherichia coli) three fungal (Rhizoctonia solani, Penicillium italicum, Fusarium oxysporum) evaluated antimicrobial activity. Furthermore, vitro cytotoxicity was assessed against cancer cell lines (PC-3, Caco-2, MCF-7). Our findings indicated that A. lebbeck rich fatty acids, with a predominance oleic acid (19.2%). Additionally, eight primarily cinnamic acid, flavonoids, chrysoeriol hesperidin, identified. It found exhibited high potential antibacterial effect B. subtilis S. marcescens evident antifungal F. oxysporum. Based on calculated selectivity index, PC-3 cells have highest value (2.95), followed by Caco-2 (1.92) MCF-7 (1.34). These results suggest richness phytochemicals promising cytotoxic properties.

Quinoa saponins are pentacyclic triterpene compounds composed of one triterpenoid glycoside and two different sugar chains. Previous studies have showed that natural quinoa little or no antifungal activity, there few reports about their effects in recent decades. Fusarium wilt caused by oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (FOL) is the most serious for tomatoes field under greenhouse conditions. The main objective this study was to investigate effectiveness concentrations application modes crude from bran against causal pathogen tomato a experiment. results anti-FOL activity weak vitro, but significantly enhanced vivo. Tomato seeds seedlings treated with solution at 0.5 1.0 g/L reduced disease incidence (%) wilt. treatment types saponin influence on preventive wilt, among them, root soaking > foliar spray seed soaking. inhibited germination some extent. However, rate after comparable chemical pesticide (thiram carboxin); therefore, it could be used control disease. This due fact vivo much higher than vitro when concentration between 0.5–1.0 g/L, indicating may achieved mainly inducing resistance. investigation supports potential use as supplier compounds, foundation future examining new resource FOL.
