Heterostructures of graphene in proximity to magnetic insulators open the possibility investigate exotic states emerging from interplay magnetism, strain and charge transfer between layers. Recent reports on growth self-integrated atomic wires βRuCl3 graphite suggest these materials as versatile candidates effects. Here we present detailed first-principles calculations electronic structure βRuCl3/graphene heterostructures provide a comparison with work function analysis related honeycomb family members αRuX3 (X = Cl,Br,I). We find that two layers leads hole-doped electron-doped RuX3 all cases, which is sensitively dependent distance Furthermore, effects due lattice mismatch control magnetization itself has strong effect transfer. Charge accumulation βRuCl3 strongly drops away chain making such suitable for sharp interfacial junctions graphene-based devices. Published by American Physical Society 2024

Abstract Fe 3 + δ GeTe 2 (FGT) has proved to be an interesting van der Waals (vdW) ferromagnetic compound with a tunable Curie temperature ( T C ). However, the underlying mechanism for varying remains elusive. Here, we systematically investigate and compare low-temperature magnetic properties of single crystalline FGT samples that exhibit s ranging from 160 K 205 K. Spin stiffness D ) spin excitation gap (Δ) are extracted using Bloch’s theory crystals Fe content. Compared Cr-based vdW ferromagnets, compounds have higher values but lower wave gaps. We discuss implication these relationships in Fe–Fe ion interactions unit cells. The itinerancy electrons is measured discussed under Rhodes–Wohlfarth ratio (RWR) Takahashi theory.
