Fault ride-through is a prerequisite for ensuring continuous operation of variable-speed pumped storage unit with full-size converter (FSC-VSPU) and providing support the renewable energy power grid. This paper proposes low-voltage ride through (LVRT) high-voltage (HVRT) strategies FSC-VSPU to address this issue. Firstly, structure its control strategy under generation pumping conditions are described. Subsequently, fault characteristics different operating analyzed. More stringent technical requirements than those wind turbines proposed. On basis, combining fast drop, rotor control, anti-regulation dynamic reactive current low protection, DC crowbar circuit Simulation case studies conducted in PSCAD/EMTDC verify correctness theoretical analysis effectiveness LVRT HVRT paper.

An optimization technique, the Kepler optimizer (KO), is presented to enable permanent magnet synchronous wind generators (PMSWG) run safely under faults and accomplish goal of low-carbon efficient power delivery sustainable development. Utility companies are struggling, which preventing increase in penetration, spite grid incorporation PMSWG. One these undisputed concerns grid-side voltage dip (VD) swell (VS) at PCC. Converters DCL capacitors particularly vulnerable PCC nonstandard voltages because an imbalance input–output powers. Because this, it essential provide WF-GCs support operations, developing techniques realize FRTCs has become a crucial GC need. Installing industrial braking chopper (BC) across suggested due its effectiveness low price. In addition, new KO-based control system for BC used enhance effectiveness. Four situations were examined assess analyze proposed regarding transient response system. These exposed investigated irregular condition: without BC, with controlled by hysteresis controller, PI (proposed) (a) 100% VD, (b) 70% (c) 30% (d) 20% VS. To verify advantages efficacy systems circumstances, MATLAB/SIMULINK was utilized. The simulation findings confirmed feasibility as whole structures suppression all parameter changes, while also achieving FRTC. Furthermore, maintaining steady serves advantage that would lengthen electrical converters’ lifetime shorten time unit be turned off if happens fail.

This article addresses the problem of controlling a Voltage Source Converter based High Direct Current (VSC-HVDC) transmission systems. An integral nonlinear control on sliding mode is proposed to our system achieve two controller objectives: regulation dc voltage and active power ensuring good performance stability in presence disturbances. The evaluated via MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. simulation results demonstrate that effectively achieves its objectives showcase efficiency robustness technique.

The study addresses efficiency enhancement and power flow control in a wind energy conversion system. This system comprises Permanant Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSM) driven by turbine, Vienna rectifier, Li-ion battery, DC load. Fluctuations demand impact battery life state of health (SOH). To mitigate this, nonlinear controller regulates current for optimal charging. Three operating modes, including MPPT, Constant Current (CC) charging, Voltage (CV) are considered. An management algorithm facilitates smooth switching between controllers. perfomances evaluated using MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
