ABSTRACT Combination therapy offers a promising advantage because they target multiple pathways involved in the pathogenesis and progression of Alzheimer's disease. This study aimed to investigate synergistic effect donepezil each vitamin B12, B6 B1 on aluminium chloride (AlCl 3 )‐induced neurotoxicity rats. Fifty‐four rats were divided into nine groups six. Group I received distilled water, group II—AlCl (100 mg/kg), III‐ AlCl mg/kg) + Donepezil (10 IV‐AlCl Vitamin B12 (5 V‐AlCl VI‐AlCl VII‐AlCl VIII‐AlCl IX‐AlCl mg/kg). Treatment lasted for 40 days. Biochemical analyses brain revealed that chronic administration significantly increased level inflammatory cytokines, caspase 9, malondialdehyde, nitric oxide acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, while causing significant decrease superoxide dismutase (SOD) Nrf2, reduced glutathione, dopamine norepinephrine. Results also showed caused cognitive impairment as indicated by reduction percentage alternation index hypo‐activity towards novel object animals treated with only. Moreover, results from biochemical evaluations treatment donepezil, B vitamins combination attenuated deficits dopamine, norepinephrine, SOD reducing elevated levels oxide, AChE, 9 markers. These observations corroborated result histopathological evaluation. The proved be more effective than monotherapy. conferred protection against –induced neurotoxicity, however, performed better neuroprotective indices was amongst three therapies this study.

Objetivo: Neste trabalho buscamos avaliar diferentes amostras de nutracêuticos mais indicados por farmacêuticos em farmácias e Drogarias Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil. Posteriormente determinamos aspectos qualidade dos produtos majoritários, meio técnicas eletroanalíticas. Métodos: Doze comerciais capsulas, sendo (3 marcas cada tipo) foram avaliadas voltamétricas. Resultados: Os resultados evidenciaram, perfis voltametricos distintos para as Amora (Morus nigra), Açafrão (Curcuma longa), Chá verde (Camellia sinensis) Guaraná (Paullinia cupana) com picos oxidação próximos a Epa1 0,2 V. Identificamos uma diferença significativa na concentração entre (I, II III), há se destacar que todas são vendidas apelo comercial ser “idênticas”, o difere do resultado encontrado.

Abstract Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is one of the primary health problems linked to decrease acetylcholine in cholinergic neurons and elevation oxidative stress. Myco-fabrication ZnO-NPs revealed excellent biological activities, including anti-inflammatory acetylcholinesterase inhibitory potentials. This study aims determine if two distinct doses myco-fabricated have a positive impact on behavioral impairment several biochemical markers associated with inflammation stress mice that been treated by aluminum chloride (AlCl 3 ) induce AD. Sixty male were haphazardly separated into equally six groups. Group 1 was injected i.p. 0.5 ml deionized water daily during experiment. Mice group 2 received AlCl (50 mg/kg/day i.p.). Groups 4 5 10 only, respectively. 6 given ZnO-NPs, respectively, add 50 . Results showed caused an increase escape latency time reduction spent target quadrant, indicating decreased improvement learning memory. F. religiosa bark has been extensively used in traditional medicinal systems, such as Ayurveda, for its health benefits. The aim of this study was to investigate the secondary metabolites (phenolics and flavonoids) hydroalcoholic stem-bark extract from because plant proven have a beneficial effect on disorders. Therefore, pilot conducted identification quantification polyphenolic compounds using sophisticated chromatographical techniques UPLC-HRMS RP-HPLC-PDA. Additionally, total flavonoids, phenolics scavenging profile were studied UV spectrophotometer. A 23 identified with mainly phenolic acids, polyphenolics, flavonoids (flavanols proanthocyanidins). Among compounds, gallic acid, catechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin gallate, ellagic acid simultaneously quantified (0.031–0.380%) Thereafter, complied by evaluating (109.15 ± 1.2 mg RuE/g 33.78 0.86 CaE/g), (4.81 1.01 GaE/g), profiles (IC50 13.75 0.12 µg/mL) bark. This is first report chemical profiling bark, which necessary step evaluate nutraceutical properties, paving way possible food application.

To investigate the neuroprotective properties of Calendula Officinalis Linn. flower extract (COE) against mild cognitive decline and dysfunction induced by aluminium chloride (AlCl3) in experimental rats. COE (100, 200, 300 mg/kg p.o.) was given once daily following treatment AlCl3 (100 to male Wistar rats for 20 days. On 1st, 10th, 20th days, walking track test, locomotor activity, object recognition test were used as behaviour characteristics assess spatial non-spatial memory. 21st day, animals sacrificed brains removed biochemical histopathological analysis. officinalis significantly attenuated AlCl3-induced alterations body weight, motor coordination such locomotion, stride length, parameters. also reduced oxidative stress increasing GSH, catalase, SOD, decreasing TBARS levels. high dose showed most prominent therapeutic effects. P<0.05 mean ± SD compare values with normal control, disease doses extract. Based on our study, has been proposed a mechanism neurotoxicity. We conclude that substantially decreased behavioural treated chloride. flowers may provide significant effects, potentially improving memory learning abilities. Linn contains anti-inflammatory antioxidant effects might be responsible its properties.
