drinking
water

Chlorine
disinfection
widely
adopted

affordability

potent
antimicrobial
effects.
However,
certain
bacteria,
known
as
chlorine-resistant
bacteria
(CRB),
can
still
survive
in
systems
residual
chlorine,
posing
risks
to
quality
distribution
systems.
Their
emergence,
ironically,

attributed

chlorine
disinfectants
