Waste production is a worldwide concern due to its adverse impact on the environment, as well health of living beings. Sustainable development states urgent need implement actions gradually replace fossil resources, including use renewable raw materials such residues and secondary from other industries promising alternative resources. This research explores an approach focused design by developing bio-based textile coating with sawdust radiata pine, which result industrial wood transformation processes. The methodology adopted transdisciplinary approach, integrating knowledge design, engineering, sociology disciplines. A perceived quality study was carried out in original format, while two different coated substrates were developed, using knife-over-roller spray processes, evaluated user acceptance functional performance points views.
