The aim of this work was to explore the biomarkers associated with epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) and mineralization processes as new prognostic factors across different breast cancer phenotypes. To end, 133 biopsies, including benign malignant lesions, or without microcalcifications, were retrospectively collected. Immunohistochemical analysis performed evaluate expression vimentin, BMP-2, BMP-4, RANKL, Runx2, OPN, PTX3, SDF-1, while Kaplan—Meier plots used assess their impact on overall survival in a dataset 2976 patients. SDF-1 significantly higher lesions compared ones, regardless presence microcalcifications. Notably, these markers showed no correlation traditional factors, such tumor grade hormone receptor status. bioinformatics provided valuable insights into possible therapeutic significance vimentin cancer.
