A substantial body of evidence indicates that neurological, psychological, and behavioral health issues are profoundly linked to interoceptive sensitivity. The present study aimed identify the effects sensitivity on relationship between physical activity symptoms depression in Chinese college students. This employed a cross-sectional design using convenience sampling. An online self-reported survey was distributed students China. participants’ sensitivity, levels, depressive were measured MAIA-2, IPAQ-SF, PHQ-9, respectively. mediating effect tested via regression analysis parallel mediation model, with bootstrap confidence intervals for indirect effects. results showed significant negative correlation depression. positive observed seven dimensions Conversely, exhibited “not distracting” “trusting” had depression, suggesting might reduce these two dimensions. findings suggest should be integrated into therapeutic interventions, such as treatment mental illnesses, particularly Increasing specific focus enhancing modulation, appears promising approach addressing

Background Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a such as tingling and pleasantness from audiovisual stimuli. ASMR videos come in wide variety of types, personal preferences are biased. There many reports the effects os on sleep onset, anxiety relief, other relaxation effects. However, prior task-oriented studies have used provided by experimenter. We hypothesized that movies preference would show significantly increased activity nucleus accumbens, frontal cortex, insular which brain areas associated with relaxation. Therefore, purpose this study was to elucidate neuroscientific basis for match someone’s preferences. Methods This included 30 healthy individuals aged ≥18 years. enthusiasts were target population due need clear videos. A control video (1 type) (20 types) stimulus tasks. Among videos, those high low evaluation scores considered liked dislikedASMR respectively. Functional magnetic resonance imaging performed while participants viewed block design resting task between. The data analyzed using Statistical Parametric Mapping 12 identify activated control, disliked, Results Emotion-related (the amygdala, cortex) not unliked only Conclusion cortex may be involved limbic dopamine circuits amygdala middle gyrus autonomic balance left right cortices. suggests potential positive mood its use treatment patients depression. These results suggest individual induce beneficial depression disorders, also support introduction mental health care.

Abstract Contemplative neuroscience has increasingly explored meditation using neuroimaging. However, the brain mechanisms underlying remain elusive. Here, we implemented a causal mechanistic framework to explore spatiotemporal dynamics of expert meditators during and rest. We first applied model-free approach by defining probabilistic metastable substate (PMS) space for each state, consisting different probabilities occurrence from repertoire dynamic patterns. Different signatures were mainly found in triple-network model (i.e., executive control, salience, default-mode networks). Moreover, model-based adjusting PMS resting state whole-brain model, which enabled us silico perturbations transition state. Consequently, assessed sensitivity areas regarding their perturbability local-global effects. Using synchronous protocol, successfully transitioned meditative shifting somatomotor dorsal attention networks. Overall, our work reveals distinct compared rest, how can be induced with localized artificial perturbations. It motivates future as practice health potential therapy disorders.

Approximately 15-30% of individuals diagnosed with PTSD experience high levels dissociation, a condition categorized in the DSM-V as dissociative subtype (PTSD-D). Despite rising number studies supporting mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) for treatment PTSD, literature on mindfulness and dissociation remains scarce discording. While best practices offering patients remain unclear, integrating choice points into MBIs may be aligned trauma-informed principles effective countering loss self-agency associated trauma. In this article, we present case study from larger randomized controlled trial an individual PTSD-D who successfully completed 8-week MBI while displaying active symptoms throughout group. Follow-up interviews stakeholders patient's care well pre-and post-intervention assessments indicate that patient had positive training improved self-regulation. Analysis suggests have been safe due to integration promotion structural safety. We expand by further discussing six influencing factors contributed outcome can serve reference clinicians, researchers, instructors wish offer safely PTSD-D.
