To investigate corrosion and resulting changes in the sealing performance of premium connections corrosive CO2 environments, we carried out a simulation analysis their secondary current distribution structural mechanics based on multi-physics field coupling. A finite element calculation model Ф88.9 mm × 6.45 taper–taper (steel grade P110) was established using COMSOL6.0 general software. By analyzing laws under different environmental parameters, five internal pressures tensile displacements were set. The results show that is higher at torque shoulder connections, which more susceptible to damage. As pressure increases, inner wall column threads, highest rounded corners root thread, also likely be damaged. Under pressures, although meets criterion, corroded ones significant reduction performance. this study provide reliable theoretical basis for research environments.

Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology is widely recognized as a key solution for mitigating global climate change. Consequently, it has received significant attention from countries worldwide. However, carbon dioxide corrosion poses challenge to CCUS represents bottleneck the large-scale development application of this technology. To mitigate issue, review starts with discussion problems in CCUS. Later, fundamentals mechanism are introduced. Then, influences various factors that affect highlighted, such water content, pH, flow rate, etc. Afterward, we summarize commonly used methods protection, particular focus on inhibitor, given their eco-friendly effective nature. Lastly, challenges prospects discussed motivate future studies developing novel, high-performance green inhibitor studying corresponding protection mechanisms, hoping make some contributions emission reduction.

Abstract The corrosion of N80 steel in polymer flooding is studied, and the safe service life tubing calculated. results show that temperature main factor affecting during process flooding, carbon at 75°C only 11.1 years. connected by molecular chains to form a network structure then adsorbed on surface steel. As concentration increases, space between molecules becomes smaller; exposed area decreases; rate decreases. Both Cl − ions destroy adsorption capacity substrate. negatively charged chloride ion repels polymer, leading resolution reduction inhibition polymer. High destroys polymer's intramolecular intermolecular aggregation, also wrecks long chain structure, significantly inhibiting effect

Abstract This study set out to determine the effectiveness of birch leaves extract (BLE) as a corrosion inhibitor against X52 pipeline steel in pickling solution. Chemical and electrochemical techniques, well scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), adsorption isotherms were used research. Various triterpenoids, including betulin, betulinic acid, oleanolic sitosterol, kaempferol, are unquestionably involved inhibition mechanism, according high-performance-liquid-chromatography (HPLC) analysis. The 95% efficiency produced BLE (at optimum concentration 400 mg L −1 ) significantly reduced rate molecules on X52-steel surface was demonstrated by SEM FT-IR activity follows Langmuir theory.

The corrosion behavior of 20G and TP347H materials was investigated in molten LiCl-NaCl-KCl salt. rates these chloride salt are high strongly affected by the alloying surface oxide formation. shows uniform with almost no protective formation on surface. In contrast, austenitic steel exhibits better resistance salts due to its Cr content. Owing highly corrosive nature salts, Cl− could react oxides alloy, inducing intergranular environments.
