As a new type of environmentally friendly adsorbent, biochar has been increasingly applied in water pollution treatment. Herein, catalyzed and activated adsorbent (CABC) which was derived from hazelnut shell modified by FeCl3 ZnCl2 synthesized successfully. The prepared used to remove two typical Pharmaceutical Personal Products (PPCPs): sulfamethoxazole (SMX) diclofenac (DCF) wastewater. CABC obtained high specific surface area 1413.02 m2/g. removal rates for SMX DCF could reach 97.04% 98.65%, respectively. adsorption process consistent with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model Langmuir isothermal model, illustrated that conformed chemical monolayer adsorption. thermodynamics indicated endothermic occur spontaneously. In recent years, there has been growing concern about antibiotic contamination in water bodies, particularly the widespread presence of fluoroquinolones (FQs), which pose a serious threat to ecosystems due their extensive use and phenomenon "pseudo-persistence". This article provides comprehensive review literature on FQs summarizing analyzing levels global surface over past three as well bioaccumulation metabolism patterns aquatic organisms, ecological toxicity, influencing factors. The results show that is across surveyed 32 countries, with ciprofloxacin norfloxacin being most heavy contaminants. Furthermore, are generally higher developing developed countries. Abstract Drug take-back system provides a legal, safe and eco-friendly avenue to appropriately dispose of unwanted medicines, contributing both environmental sustainability reducing medication misuse. This study designed implemented brief educational intervention, which took <1 min on average, enhance awareness community residents regarding the dangers hoarding improperly disposing expired unused at home. In Chinese urban community, 104 eligible households were evenly assigned into 2 groups receiving leaflet-based awareness-raising interventions. Messages about risks medicines delivered two focused either concerns pharmaceutical emerging contaminants (eco-directed) or health hazards associated with misuse overuse (health-focused). Compared those in health-focused significantly more participating an eco-directed activity returned supported community-level drug program agreed that should be mandatory paid for by consumers. Data suggested intervention might attractive approach public’s active participation program.

It is essential to determine the occurrence of emerging organic contaminants (EOCs), such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs), in ambient environment address growing public concerns.
