there
has
been
growing
concern
about
antibiotic
contamination
in
water
bodies,

(FQs),

Abstract
Drug
take-back
system
provides
a
legal,
safe
and
eco-friendly
avenue
to
appropriately
dispose
of
unwanted
medicines,

The
presence
of
multidrug-resistant
bacteria
in
Malaysian
waters
and
farmed
aquatic
species
its
estuarine
environment
suggests
contamination
due
to
pharmaceuticals
personal
care
products
(PPCPs).
However,
this
issue
has
lacked
serious
attention.
This
study
performed
suspect
screening
identify
tentative
PPCPs
water
mussels
located
at
the
Melayu
River
during
high
low
tides,
followed
by
a
public
awareness
survey

behavior
toward
handling
PPCPs.
