<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Biofuels are gaining significant global attention as renewable and alternative energy sources, produced from various materials through different extraction methods conversion processes. Food industry generates not only substantial organic waste, presenting economic ecological challenges but also potential opportunities for valorization. This study focuses on recovering industrial fish waste the manufacture of canned tuna, specifically targeting non-food abundant co-products such heads, bones, skin, viscera, which constitute nearly 50% body. The process involves several steps: oil using Soxhlet extraction, purification, into biodiesel via transesterification, followed by physicochemical analysis. experiments revealed that 32.41% was in liquid phase (a mixture hexane oil), extracted accounted 26.56% total weight (from 1.012 kg approximately 268.78 g extracted, equivalent to 280.36 mL). fatty acid composition influenced cetane number biodiesel. Two types (methyl ethyl esters) were transesterification with methanol or ethanol sulfuric (H2SO4). analysis showed biodiesels possess properties similar conventional diesel, indicating their suitability use diesel engines. research highlights valorization reduce fossil fuel consumption promote sustainable solutions.</div></div>
