Abstract BACKGROUND After the peak laying stage, hens become susceptible to lipid accumulation and inflammatory reactions. The objective of this experiment was examine impact quercetin genistein on egg quality profiles in hens. A total 240 Hy‐Line Brown were randomly assigned three dietary treatments. Each treatment had eight replicates, with ten each replicate, aged between 46 56 weeks. test diets consisted a corn–soybean meal‐based basal diet, diet supplemented 300 mg kg −1 quercetin, 40 genistein. RESULTS Results showed that, separately, supplemental significantly improved (eggshell strength, albumen height, Haugh unit, P < 0.05) reduced deposition abdominal fat ( 0.05). Our findings also separately or as combination, increased eggshell thickness 0.05), decreased levels lipids serum (low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides, non‐esterified fatty acids, immunoglobulins G promoted expression splenic immune‐related genes IgA IL‐4 , CONCLUSION This study confirmed that genistein, either can enhance thickness, profiles, immune function aging Moreover, both alone + exhibited similar abilities lower improve function. © 2023 Society Chemical Industry.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, metabolic and skeletal pose significant challenges to public health worldwide. The complex pathogenesis of these is closely linked oxidative stress inflammatory damage. Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related 2 (Nrf2), a critical transcription factor, plays an important role in regulating antioxidant anti-inflammatory responses protect the cells from damage inflammation-mediated injury. Therefore, Nrf2-targeting therapies hold promise for preventing treating NCDs. Quercetin (Que) widely available flavonoid that has properties. Abstract Background Organic selenium (Se) has gained recognition in poultry nutrition as a feed additive to boost production and Se deposition eggs tissues, owing its high bioavailability, efficient tissue accumulation minimal toxicity. Selenium-enriched yeast (SeY) is well-established source, while selenium-enriched lactobacilli (SeL), newer alternative, offers the added benefits of probiotics. This study examined effects SeY SeL on egg quality, antioxidant capacity, deposition, gut health laying hens. After two-week pre-treatment with Se-deficient diet (SeD), 450 Hy-Line Brown hens (30-week-old) were assigned into five dietary groups six replicates 15 each. The included SeD, SeD supplemented 1.5 mg Se/kg from (SeY15), or 1.5, 3.0, 6.0 (SeL15, SeL30, SeL60). feeding trial lasted for 12 weeks. Results SeY15 SeL15 improved feed-to-egg ratio ( P < 0.05) latter stages. Haugh units significantly increased SeL30 groups, darker yolk color was observed SeY15, SeL15, SeL60 groups. Major depressive disorder is one of the most common mental illnesses that highly impairs quality life. Pharmacological interventions are mainly focused on altered monoamine neurotransmission, which considered primary event underlying disease's etiology. However, many other neuropathological mechanisms contribute to progression and clinical symptoms have been identified. These include oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, hippocampal atrophy, reduced synaptic plasticity neurogenesis, depletion neurotrophic factors, dysfunction hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Current therapeutic options often unsatisfactory associated with adverse effects. This review highlights relevant findings concerning role flavonols, a ubiquitous class flavonoids in human diet, as potential antidepressant agents. In general, flavonols be both an effective safe option management depression, largely based their prominent antioxidative anti-inflammatory Moreover, preclinical studies provided evidence they capable restoring neuroendocrine control HPA axis, promoting alleviating depressive-like behavior. Although these promising, still far from being implemented practice. Hence, further needed more comprehensively evaluate respect improvement signs depression.

This study discusses the effects of resveratrol (RES) on productive performance, immune function and intestinal barrier broiler chickens challenged with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Two hundred forty 1-day-old male Arbor Acres broilers were randomly divided into 4 groups 6 replicates each, 10 per replicate. experiment used a 2 × factorial design dietary factors (basal diets or basal supplemented 400 mg/kg RES administered from d 1 to 21) stress (intraperitoneal injection 0.5 BW saline LPS at 16, 18 20 age). The results showed that challenge had significant adverse effect average daily gain (ADG) in 16 21 age (P < 0.05), whereas addition diet inhibited LPS-induced decrease ADG 0.05). also alleviated damage broilers, which was manifested by spleen index 0.05) recovery serum immunoglobulin M ileal secretory A content disrupts inflammation, mitigates these different ways. attenuated reduction villus height jejunum ileum caused an abnormal increase plasma D-lactic acid levels effectively mitigated resulted mRNA expression occludin mucosa significantly decreased toll-like receptor 4, nuclear factor kappa-B tumor necrosis alpha tissue stimulated Taken together, this shows exerts its beneficial alleviating damage, relieving inflammation thus improving growth performance.

Quercetin, well-known polyphenol found in onions, has garnered attention for its potential bioactivity. Recent studies have illuminated the heightened quercetin content sprouted offering unique avenue exploration. The well documented interaction between colonic microflora depicts bioconversion of natural bio actives by gut bacteria. review also cites prebiotic activity which occurs due to hydrolysis during sprouting suggests development quercetin-based nanoparticles personalized clinical needs. This requires considerable research on use with focus nanoscale formulation, scale-up, regulatory aspects preventing dysbiosis. To explore bioavailability enhancement implications health, this comprehensive examines nutritional aspects, metabolic pathways, stability, derived from onions. Additionally, it investigates interplay bioefficacy metabolites. While literature exploring onions role mitigating lifestyle-related disorders limited, aims consolidate existing knowledge, primary diabetes management microbiota modulation. We anticipate that insights presented article will contribute strategies optimizing enhancing realizing health promotion.
