Effects of a dietary isoquinoline alkaloids blend on gut antioxidant capacity and gut barrier of young broilers

Extensive
mechanistic
evidence
to
support
the
beneficial
function
of
dietary
phytobiotic
applications
for
broiler
performance,
gut
and
health
is
highly
warranted.
In
particular,
isoquinoline
alkaloids
(IQ)
underlying
mechanisms
related
critical
homeostasis
components
such
as
cytoprotection
barrier
are
scarce,
especially
young
broilers
at
starter
growth
stage
(d1-10).
The
aim
this
study
was
investigate
effect
a
standardized
blend
IQs
on
relative
gene
expression
biomarkers
relevant
antioxidant
response
along
intestine
end
phase.
For
purpose,
182
one-day-old
Ross
308
were
allocated
in
2
treatments
with
7
replicates
13
each:
control
diet-no
other
additions
(NC),
diet
containing
200
mg/kg
(M)
period
(1-10d).
results
revealed
that
significantly
upregulated
(P
<
0.05)
genes
all
intestinal
segments.
Moreover,
enhanced
primarily
duodenal
level.
conclusion,
beneficially
affected
pathway
capacity
broilers.
