N6-Methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification plays an essential role in many biological processes. To investigate the regulatory of m6A on skeletal muscle development Hu sheep, this study took newborn sheep (b_B Group) and six-month-old (s_B as objects. MeRIP-seq RNA-Seq analysis techniques were used to detect differentially methylated genes (DMGs) expressed (DEGs) longissimus dorsi at different months age. Then, conjoint was further employed screen for key involved that are modified by mRNA. According results analysis, there 285 peaks (DMPs) total between b_B Group s_B Group, with 192 significant upregulated 93 downregulated peaks. GO KEGG revealed DMGs mainly enriched actin-binding, cellular transport, metabolic pathways. RNA-seq 4,349 DEGs 2010 2,339 genes. found be regulation actin cytoskeleton tissue, AMPK FoxO signaling pathways, etc. The demonstrated 283 both Among them, three relevant growth (RGMB, MAPK8IP3, RSPO3) selected candidates quantitative validation, line sequencing results. mentioned above all suggest a certain sheep.

Skeletal muscle is a vital protein source for human diets, making its development significant focus in poultry research. This study examines the effects of RNA 5-methylcytosine (m5C) modifications on chicken skeletal at two critical embryonic stages: before myoblast differentiation (E10) and after (E19). By employing MeRIP-seq, we analyzed dynamic distribution m5C within leg transcriptome, uncovering notable differences modification states between these stages. Our results indicate that are widespread transcriptome present unique pattern. Unlike N6-methyladenosine modifications, which typically show negative correlation with expression, exhibited weak positive our findings. Additionally, identified multiple peaks important epigenetic regulators, including DNMT3A, DNMT3B, DNMT1, TET3, METTL3. observation suggests may interact genes to jointly influence development. Furthermore, key linked enriched pathways associated cell cycle regulation, growth, lipid metabolism. provides valuable insights into role highlights their potential coordinating myogenesis metabolic processes.

Taihang chickens is precious genetic resource with excellent adaptability and disease resistance, as well high-quality eggs meat. However, the mechanism underlying important economic traits remain largely unknown. To address this gap, we conducted whole-genome resequencing of 66 15 White Plymouth rock chicken (Baiyu). The population structure analysis revealed that Baiyu are 2 independent populations. genomic regions strong selection signals some candidate genes related to appearance were identified. Additionally, found a continuously selected 1.2 Mb region on chromosome closely resistance. Therefore, our findings helpful in further understanding architecture provided worthy theoretical basis technological support improve chickens.
