Structural variants (SVs) are one of the main sources genetic and have a significant impact on phenotype evolution, disease susceptibility, environmental adaptations. We used 73 whole genome sequencing (12x) to apply mapping approach identify SVs in five turkey populations. A notable degree isolation was observed between Basilicata Apulian populations, as indicated by principal component analysis admixture results. total 11,733 were detected, including 6712 deletions, 2671 duplications, 1430 inversions, 920 translocations. The Variant Effect Predictor (VEP) predicted various consequences filtered follows: intron (35.8%), intergenic (9.6%), coding sequence (8.3%), downstream gene (7.5%), transcript ablations (7.3%). Our functional annotation genes overlapping with mainly enriched recognized pathways governing positive regulation nucleoplasm, protein binding, mitochondrion, negative cell population proliferation, identical calcium signaling. produced comprehensive SV catalog utilizing unique whole-genome data. This not only increases our understanding diversity turkeys but also enhances knowledge role their phenotypic traits.
