The role of shared identity in predicting both ingroup helping behaviour and adherence to protective norms during COVID-19 has been extensively theorized, but remains largely under-investigated. We build upon previous Social Identity research into community resilience by testing the pre-existing local (or 'neighbourhood') as a predictor these outcomes, via mediator perceived social support. Community residents UK completed longitudinal online survey four months before lockdown (T1; N = 253), one month (T2; 217), two (T3; 149). cross-lagged panel analysis shows that T1 identification predicts T3 giving receiving pandemic-related support, effects occur perception support at second time point (while alternative pathway from T2 is non-significant). Moreover, we show also directly T3. Our findings pivotal played effective behavioural responses pandemic, need foster development facilitate crisis continues unfold.

Abstract Background Adopting healthy lifestyles and staying mentally health are two cost-effective modifiable strategies that cancer survivors can implement in self-management. We aimed to evaluate the independent, mediation, interaction, joint associations of combined lifestyle mental with mortality survivors. Methods performed a cohort study including 3145 from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (2005–2018). A score was constructed based on post-diagnosis body mass index, physical activity, diet, smoking, drinking. Post-diagnosis assessed by Patient Questionnaire (PHQ-9). Hazard ratios (HRs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for all-cause, cancer, non-cancer were computed using Cox proportional hazards regression models. Results After 20,900 person-years follow-up (median, 6.3 years), higher had decreased mortality, independent health. Compared participants lower (0–1), HRs (95% CIs) all-cause among those (3–5) 0.68 (0.52–0.89) 0.69 (0.56–0.85), respectively. 6.2–10.3% mediated Similar trends observed categorized health, better lifestyle. Participants benefited more adopting lifestyles, vice versa. Combinations associated significant lowest seen highest concurrently best Conclusions For first time, this nationally representative sample US survivors, we comprehensively explored complex lifestyle, mortality. Evidence derived may give much healthcare providers that, changing one’s and/or after diagnosis improve survival.

The latest worldwide application of social distancing measures highlighted dramatic effects on the daily life, mobility, well-being, mental health, and economic activity citizens during pandemic. Unfortunately, societies were unprepared to confront a pandemic applied movement restriction measures, often harsh unbalanced, creating confusion, uncertainty, annoyance communities. In this paper, we reviewed wide array databases categorise mobility management implemented internationally in response restrictions that had be taken first wave COVID-19 Furthermore, comprehensively assess contain from perspective local community, conducted focus group interviews with specific population groups may have been affected greater extent. These consisted vulnerable road users, such as mobility-impaired people who are facing severe health problems, representatives economy businesses institutional stakeholders policymakers. Our research showed post-pandemic era, accessibility not should at heart welfare. At same time, assurance physical activity, which is strongly associated citizens, protection issues outermost importance. However, authorities manage these made fragmented punitive decisions. By recognising need for regional or metropolitan emergency mechanism, study aims introduce new system indicators specifically adapted particularities challenges encountered pandemic, accounts communities' unique needs requirements, complies general principles Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). future, SUMP methodology revised able handle systems under conditions.

ABSTRACT Objective Knowledge about transdiagnostic factors associated with global symptom severity among patients diagnosed various mental disorders remains limited. This study examined the cross‐sectional associations between processes including emotion regulation and specific strategies (i.e., amount of physical activity sedentary behaviour, repetitive negative thinking sleep routines) severity, while controlling for sociodemographic data (age, gender, employment status, relationship educational level) fear coronavirus. Methods Data from 401 outpatients, aged 42.08 years on average ( SD = 13.26; 71.3% female), depressive disorders, non‐organic primary insomnia, agoraphobia, panic disorder and/or post‐traumatic stress were examined. is a secondary analysis randomized controlled trial. collected 10 different sites March 2021 May 2022 analysis. The influence predictors was determined using three‐step hierarchical multiple regression: (1) control variables, (2) (3) strategies. Global measured Severity Index, derived Brief Symptom Inventory‐18. Predictors validated scales, additionally assessed via accelerometer‐based sensors. Results In first step, variables accounted 4% variance in severity. inclusion second step explained 26% outcome variance, incorporation third increased to 37%. Significant included β 0.28), 0.26) routines 0.25). Conclusion along as are identified psychological that may serve treatment targets evidence‐based interventions designed enhance regulation, particularly samples stress‐related disorders. Additional prospective longitudinal studies necessary explore possible causal relationships.

Exercise benefits individuals, but research about exercising with family members (EFM) and personal well-being is scarce. We investigated the associations of home-based individual exercise (IE) EFM amid COVID-19 pandemic. A population-based cross-sectional survey on Hong Kong Chinese adults was conducted from February to March 2021, when under control (N = 5825). Respondents reported number days IE occurred at home in past 7 (0, 1–2, 3–4, 5–6, 7), respectively. Family well-being, happiness, personal/family adversity coping capability (ACC/FACC) were each measured an 11-point scale (range 0–10). Psychological distress using four-item Patient Health Questionnaire 0–12). Associations assessed multiple linear regressions. Of 1911 respondents, 9.2% having ≥3 EFM. After adjusting for other sociodemographic characteristics, more frequent or (≥3 vs. 0–2 days) associated greater FACC, lower psychological distress. Our findings suggest that may promote highlight potential incorporating into public health strategies enhance overall well-being.
