Additive manufacturing (AM) has emerged as a transformative technology for producing complex, high-performance components across industries such aerospace, healthcare, and automotive. Central to enhancing the precision, reliability, scalability of AM is integration advanced sensors real-time monitoring systems. These technologies enable in-situ process control, early defect detection, adaptive feedback mechanisms that elevate both production quality efficiency. This chapter delves into diverse roles sensor technologies—including thermal, optical, force, gas, acoustic sensors—and how their deployment facilitates intelligent decision-making through machine learning artificial intelligence. In addition, we discuss real time data analytics computational modeling are being used predict control outcomes move away from reactive predictive. The growing relevance hybrid manufacturing, which combines additive subtractive processes also examined its high precision applications.
