Tumor cells undergo profound metabolic reprogramming to sustain their rapid growth and proliferation, with amino acids serving as essential nutrients critical for protein synthesis, energy metabolism, nucleotide production, redox balance. The increased reliance of tumor on specific represents a promising therapeutic target. This review provides an in-depth analysis the biological roles in cancer, identifies vulnerabilities associated acid dependency, discusses strategies leverage these weaknesses enhanced cancer treatment. We explore mechanisms governing uptake, utilization, metabolism cells, well interactions microenvironment. Additionally, addresses challenges prospects targeting therapy, including issues resistance, complexity pathways, potential personalized treatment approaches.

This study aimed to explore the impact of dietary Bacillus subtilis fmbj (BS) supplementation on acute intestinal dysfunction induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in broilers. One hundred and eighty 1-day-old male Arbor Acres broilers were randomly divided into three treatment groups, each comprising ten replicates 6 birds. On d 20, LPS-challenged (LPS group LPS-BS group) LPS-unchallenged (CON received intraperitoneal injections 1 mg/kg body weight LPS solution an equivalent volume sterile saline, respectively. Compared CON group, disrupted (P < 0.05) morphology small intestine (jejunum or ileum), exacerbated serum, intestinal, mitochondrial antioxidant capacity, oxidative damage, altered expression genes proteins related antioxidants, cell adhesion, function jejunum. The exhibited a tendency towards improvement morphology, jejunum when compared group. In conclusion, BS may confer protection against LPS-induced enhancing activation SIRT1/PGC1α, suggesting its potential as valuable additive for poultry industry.

Hyperuricemia has emerged as a significant global health concern, closely associated with various metabolic disorders. The adverse effects frequently observed current pharmacological treatments for hyperuricemia highlight the urgent need reliable animal models to elucidate disease’s pathophysiological mechanisms, thereby facilitating development of safer and more effective therapies. In this study, we established three rat using potassium oxonate, either alone or in combination fructose adenine. Each model exhibited distinct pathological changes, fructose, adenine causing significantly severe damage liver kidney functions than oxonate alone. Serum metabolomics analyses revealed profound dysregulation pathways purine, pyrimidines, glutathione, underscoring pivotal role oxidative stress progression hyperuricemia. We identified key biomarkers such orotidine, ureidosuccinic acid, uracil, pseudouridine, which are uric acid-induced hepatic renal systems. MetOrigin tracing analysis further that differential metabolites related primarily involved host-microbiome co-metabolic pathways, particularly purine metabolism, bacterial phyla Pseudomonadota , Actinomycetota Ascomycota being linked critical processes acid production. These findings not only enhance our understanding pathogenic mechanisms underlying but also provide robust experimental foundation innovative treatment strategies.
