Ferroptosis is a unique mode of cell death driven by iron‑dependent phospholipid peroxidation, and its mechanism primarily involves disturbances in iron metabolism, imbalances the lipid antioxidant system accumulation peroxides. Protein processing, modification folding endoplasmic reticulum (ER) are closely related regulatory processes that determine function, fate survival. The uncontrolled proliferative capacity malignant cells generates an unfavorable microenvironment characterized high metabolic demand, hypoxia, nutrient deprivation acidosis, which promotes misfolded or unfolded proteins ER, leading to ER stress (ERS). ERS share common pathways several diseases, two interact affect survival death. Additionally, not linear signaling cascades, different may be interrelated at multiple levels. ovarian cancer (OC) have attracted increasing research interest; however, both discussed separately regarding OC. present review aims summarize associations potential links between ferroptosis ERS, aiming provide references for development therapeutic approaches management

Ovarian cancer, a gynecologic malignancy with high mortality rates, faces persistent therapeutic challenges due to acquired resistance and frequent recurrence conventional therapies. While poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors have primarily transformed clinical outcomes through the synthetic lethality mechanism, their long-term efficacy remains constrained by resistance. Ferroptosis, novel programmed cell death modality characterized iron-dependent lipid peroxidation, has emerged as promising frontier in oncology. This review is first summarize mechanisms of action associated both ferroptosis PARP ovarian cancer.
