This study analyzes the relationship between renewable energy and CO 2 emissions in top natural resource depending countries over period 2000–2015. An important contribution of this is to assess role governance. The Ordinary Least Squares Fixed effects Generalized methods two-step GMM estimators are used for panel data. empirical results show that has significant negative impact on per capita emissions. estimates 1 percentage point increase consumption leads 1.25% decrease capita. We also find decreases faster with higher rule law voice accountability. gross domestic product inverted U-shaped

This article examines the influence of renewable energy consumption, real GDP per capita, exports and imports on consumption-based CO2 emissions in Azerbaijan from 1993 to 2019 by employing Dynamic Ordinary Least Squares Method (DOLS). The results reveal that consumption has a negative impact emissions, while capita positive effect. According findings, 1% increase leads 0.26% decrease rise 0.46% emissions. In addition, show effects respectively. Numerically, 0.18% whereas reduces 0.16%. is consistent with expectations theoretical outcomes described functional specification data section. as well larger effect imports, emphasize necessity implementing ecologically friendly measures both sectors (particularly, need share total use) international trade.

The European Union (EU) countries have declared the ambitious goal of providing carbon-free economic development. Considering this, EU are going to pursue relevant policies for a step-by-step refusal mining and coal energy, consequently reducing greenhouse gas emissions. analysis theoretical background showed that renewable energy is core dimension In this case, paper aims justify impact dimensions (knowledge spillover, innovation, environmental regulation) could boost penetration into all sectors levels. following methods applied test hypotheses: stationarity testing in panels; cross-section dependence testing; cointegration estimation heterogeneous parameter models. data obtained from Eurostat, OECD, World Data Bank. object research country period 2010–2020. findings confirm hypothesis on statistically significant innovation knowledge spillover energy. addition, regulation has mediating positive effect interconnections among innovations, should development appropriate regulations, which be effective transparent stakeholders.

Understanding the level of economic freedom is an important indicator for investors and policymakers. The index freedom, which Heritage Foundation releases annually, most significant methods used to measure this in practice, as evaluates degree market openness over fiscal regulatory restraint. research presented paper was conducted order establish Balkan countries. For purpose, a multi-criteria ranking countries based on criteria used. weight determined using Entropy method, were ranked CRADIS (Compromise Ranking Alternatives from Distance ideal Solution) method. These employed double normalisation approach, according results application, Bulgaria has best indicators while Montenegro worst, with sensitivity analysis validation confirming these findings. approach contributes decision-making stability since different are uniform when compared use classical case methods.
