In line with an intensified call for reducing greenhouse emissions and curbing the effects of climate change, scientists experts have looked to information communication technology (ICT) digitization as critical tools more efficient use production energy. Consequently, research on ICT/digitization their impact environmental sustainability has witnessed exponential growth in last few decades. This study provides a systematic review relationship between over period from January 2000 April 2022. It aimed improve our understanding different theories channels governing ICT/digitization–environmental nexus, provide in-depth analysis discussion trends main empirical findings reviewed articles, highlight key avenues future research. total, 166 scientific articles examining 297 associations were selected this review. Global warming and climate change are caused by anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from rising energy consumption due to population economic growth. Over the past decade, information communication technology (ICT) usage has increased which may increase utilization GHG emissions. Conversely, ICT's clean technologies can minimize pollution. Therefore, this study investigated dynamic influences of ICT, growth, population, use on in Malaysia employing autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach using data 1990 2021. The results ARDL bounds test indicated existence a long-run link between variables. revealed that 1% number Internet users could 0.013% short run but cut 0.077% long run. Additionally, have positive association with robustness outcomes been checked Fully Modified Ordinary Least Squares (FMOLS), Dynamic (DOLS), Canonical Cointegration Regression (CCR) methods. This article offers additional policy proposals for emission reduction sustainable development promoting renewable financing green ICT.

This study examines the dynamic relationships between digitalization, environmental tax revenues, and energy resource capacity within framework of Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC), focusing on their combined impact quality. It employs a cross-sectional augmented autoregressive distributed lag (CS-ARDL) approach, an advanced technique for complex panel data that is specifically designed to address issues dependence slope heterogeneity inherent in analysis.
