ABSTRACT Carbon emissions are a primary driver of environmental degradation and pose noteworthy risks to global efforts in combating climate change, particularly ASEAN economies. While CO 2 central understanding impacts, they represent just one aspect the broader sustainability framework. This study examines roles eco‐innovation, green energy, globalization, economic growth, industrialization, taxes reducing within economies from 1990 2022. Utilizing cross‐sectional ARDL model, we explore correlations among these factors, with special attention dimension sustainable development. Our findings highlight negative relationships between taxation, emissions, which contribute significantly both immediately later on. Additionally, reveals reciprocal causal links elements , offering critical policy insights for advancing goals structure development (SDGs), especially those about action (SDG 13), affordable clean energy 7), industrialization 9). These provide pathway interventions that target mitigation while recognizing diverse aspects

This study investigates the association between a bank's nonperforming loans and its ESG (environmental, social, governance) performance. Using data from U.S. commercial banks, we find that rating is negatively associated with loans. Furthermore, document high performance in all three pillars of evaluation reduces ratio Our finds favorable improves loan quality provides archival evidence importance ESG.

The overwhelming effects of climate change on the living environments has prompted several countries, including India into rolling out different carbon neutrality agenda. On this background, study activated policy framework towards attainment India's 2070 net-zero emission target via energy efficiency. roles green-technology, affluence and population were also rectified. With quarterly series spanning 1997Q1–2021Q4 estimates novel wavelet quantile correlation technique, following insights sufficed. Energy-intensity generated significant de-escalation mainly in medium long term. There evidence long-term asymmetric between them. Carbon intensity as well green technology aggravated emissions both short term, however, over they effects. empirical validated environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) ideology given quality enhancing attributes GDP. represents a major challenge for target. Abstract This paper investigates the role of nuclear energy in promoting ecological sustainability India, focusing on three indicators: footprint (EF), CO2 emissions (CO 2 ), and load capacity factor (LF). In addition to energy, study considers influence gas consumption other drivers using data spanning from 1970 2018. The analysis also takes into account impact 2008 global financial crisis model, employing autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) frequency domain causality approaches assess relationships. Unlike previous studies, this research evaluates both Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) curve (LCC) hypotheses. ARDL results support validity EKC LCC hypotheses Indian context. Furthermore, findings reveal that human capital contribute positively quality, while economic growth have a negative sustainability. highlights increasing effect Additionally, demonstrates capital, consumption, can serve as predictors long-term India. Based these findings, presents policy recommendations guide efforts towards achieving SDGs 7 13.
