DC-link voltage control needs to be achieved for flywheel energy storage systems (FESSs) during discharge. However, load disturbances and model nonlinearity affect the performance. Therefore, this paper proposes a load-current-compensation-based robust method FESSs. In proposed method, is linearized via current feedforward compensation dq-axis current-to-DC-current conversion. The uncertainty of linear analyzed an H∞ applied overcome uncertainty. Furthermore, experiments involving are conducted on 1.2 kWh magnetic suspended FESS prototype. Compared with general proportional integral can increase response speed by 37.1% reduce fluctuations 29.5%. effectiveness verified experimentally.
