Climate change caused by accumulated emission fossil fuels that we call greenhouse gases into atmosphere has an significance on earth's temperature, which will cause natural disasters and damage. Net zero energy buildings, primarily net houses, are very effective at reducing consequences because their notable reductions in consumption reliance renewable sources. Nonetheless, Indonesia still needs to adopt net-zero homes. Research most efficient solar PV installation methods for achieving homes Indonesia, particularly Jakarta, be initiated. Addressing the thermal loss from building envelopes is a crucial challenge and requires exploration of various mitigation strategies. This study employs comprehensive 3D computational fluid dynamics simulations to investigate incorporation bio-based Phase Change Materials (PCMs) including CrodaTherm (CT) 19, CT21, CT24W, within inter-floor void formers between roof-floor boundary in multi-story office buildings optimize energy management during inactive periods one adjacent units. Aside PCM type, former shape, its placement, combinations PCMs insulating layers are examined through heat flux solid fraction plots as well liquid contours. Results highlight exceptional performance CT24W-integrated formers, achieving remarkable 36.74 % reduction 48-h average comparison with case without offering lower values than scenario for 89.38 h (endurance time). Based on findings, identical volumes, semi-ellipsoid PCM-integrated provides 11.07 27.56 longer endurance time compared spherical shape. The results underscore integration superior strategy over standalone insulation managing apartment floors.
