Hemicellulose can be selectively removed by acid pretreatment. In this study, selective removal of hemicellulose was achieved using dilute sulfuric assisted aluminum sulfate The optimal pretreatment conditions were 160 °C, 1.5 wt% sulfate, 0.7 acid, and 40 min. A component analysis showed that the rate lignin reached 98.05% 9.01%, respectively, which indicated with high selectivity Structural characterizations (SEM, FTIR, BET, TGA, XRD) changed roughness, crystallinity, pore size, functional groups corn straw, beneficial to improve efficiency enzymatic hydrolysis. This study provides a new approach for high-selectivity separation hemicellulose, thereby offering novel insights its subsequent high-value utilization.

Abstract In the present study, different molar ratios of Fe-doped ZnO/biochar (FZBC) were synthesized using a coprecipitation method. ZnO nanoparticles with size approximately 30 nm well dispersed on biochar matrix. The bandgap energy decreases from 3.11 to 3.08 eV as Fe-ion concentration increases 1 7 mol%. Photocatalytic studies demonstrated that FZBC exhibited photodegradation toward acid orange (AO7). efficiency AO7 at 10 mg. L −1 (93.17%), which was nine times greater than pure (10.30%). Furthermore, materials also effective inactivation E. coli , an antibacterial rate reaching 98%. Overall, these are expected be cost-effective and suitable for photocatalytic degradation activities.

The scientific community has been drawn to variations of the processes aimed at obtaining cellulosic fibers. Deep eutectic solvents-like mixtures have shown be a potential and green replacement for pulping where, in addition cellulose fibers, lignin hemicellulose are obtained as by-products. In this research, treatment softwood kraft pulp using deep based on choline chloride lactic acid was studied. We chose temperature, ratio input unbleached pulp, molar between components solvent studied operating conditions. As part chemical characterization, we analyzed Kappa number, which indicates remaining followed by calculation efficiency. addition, process made it possible obtain solid under different conditions, were characterized analytical, optical, spectrometric methods. number delignified fibers ranged from 9.59 when 1:9 (1 h; 120 °C; 1:10) 20.88 (choline chloride/lactic 1:6; 1 80 1:5), represents efficiency values 6.79 % 57.19 %.
