This study proposes a vertically stacked thermoelectric generator (TEG) design to enhance output power per unit volume. While the proposed TEG achieved improved conversion efficiency, high inertia of exhaust gas leads significant flow maldistribution across channels, causing uneven thermal conditions on TEM surfaces and reducing overall efficiency. To waste heat recovery by improving uniformity in perforated plate with porosity ranging from 0.15 0.75 was inserted. A multi-physics numerical model developed simulate energy phenomena, enabling for accurate evaluation both module- system-wise performance. The insertion 0.45 provided most uniform distribution only 5% rate difference between channels. resulted system-level 167.1 W, which is ~7% higher than case without plate, along electrical efficiency 91.1% 3.41%. Moreover, enhanced led an volumetric density 20.8 kW/m3. When accounting pumping losses, 0.6 maximized net power, demonstrating how optimized significantly enhances harvesting
