ABSTRACT Pond aquaculture and water protection in Europe suffer from conflicts, whereas multitrophic freshwater technologies face hardships with over‐regulations Europe. As such, inland land‐locked has not given its contribution or echoed importance regional food system dialogues. The emphasis on marine cages RAS‐based is enormous. Almost if they are the only viable way to carry future European forward. In this scoping review, we have hypothesized that semi‐intensive fishponds could be an overlooked component system. analysis present reviewed: (1) current positioning of system; (2) fishponds' within aquaculture; (3) forward for through ecological pond nutrition research; (4) realizing ‘net zero’ aquatic foods Europe; (5) risks potential making transition. We conclude ample circular nature‐based solutions They transform systems locally low‐impact food. may a sleeping giant among EU's planetary healthy diet ambitions. example, 0.25 million hectares available Central Eastern ecologically substitute 1 billion fish oil capsules (EPA + DHA kt oil) 11.9 casein (leucine 0.45 litres milk) equivalents, fulfilling singlehandedly annual leucine EPA requirements 1.2–3 adults.

This study aimed to find alternative feeds or supplementary that can perform similarly the existing commercial thereby reducing farmer expense and cutting down their cost of production increasing profitability on Milkfish ( Chanos chanos Forsskål, 1775) aquaculture. The formulations for included four grow-out treatments mainly: control (commercial feed), taro+control (powdered Colocasia esculenta +commercial fish bloodmeal (formulated feed based bloodmeal), banana stem+control (chopped stem+commercial feed). result showed no significant differences between from 6 th week onwards, whether with weight (MS=0.130, df=3, F =1.14, p =0.333) total length (MS=0.008, =0.40, =0.75). FCR ratio (1.60) as lowest, followed by (1.65), taro+commercial (1.71), then (2.18). In terms gain, treatment gained highest (236.97 g), (223.33 taro (217.67 stem (196.99 g). As a result, we any tested serve an using purely feeds. Abstract Circularity within supply chains can be realized through the seamless integration of ecological concerns into business strategies, coupled with stakeholder collaboration throughout chain. A study a chain aiming for circularity was conducted in real setting renowned multinational company food processing industry to explore how environmental orientation shapes collaborative practices. The model applied reveal significance circular practices that members follow case company. interpretive ranking process (IRP) further rank stakeholders this Results raw material suppliers, farmers, customers, and volunteers occupy significant position implementing It is essential provide incentives suppliers order encourage them adopt promote chains. Simultaneously, local communities need play an active role effective waste management This underscores critical imperative nurturing pro‐environmental mindset while fostering synergetic among stakeholders, thereby paving path towards achieving circularity.
