Abstract The essence of circular economy is about closing the loop material flows by reducing, reusing, recovering and recycling, ensuring economic prosperity without any detriment for environment. However, few information available contribution systems to social dimension sustainability (such as well-being, quality life), how these aspects are evaluated why they deemed important. purpose this study review those scientific studies that dealt with evaluations highlight new aspects: not only which most applied methodologies, impact categories indicators mostly taken into account, but, above all, diffused epistemological position underlying evaluation circularity. Abstract The relevance of environmental sustainability has grown significantly among academics, professionals, and the general public. A variety factors influence an economy's ability to support its sustainability. Foreign direct investment (FDI), financial development (FD), green technological innovation (GTI), finance (GF) are pillars that hold key accomplishing goals. Despite extensive studies on influencing finance, there remains a gap in grasping impact various study's objective is analyze relationship between ecological sustainability, financing, FDI, innovative technologies, FD developing countries. study employed fixed effect random model with robustness analysis gain empirical understanding relationship. findings highlighted plays crucial role technologies encourages economies embrace It also supports pollution haven hypothesis (PHH) increase FDI positive carbon emission. makes significant novel contribution by analyzing combined numerous theoretical practical implications for addressing constraints posed PHH include tightening domestic legislation, international cooperation, pushing adoption cleaner technology throughout industries. helps governments enact effective regulations encourage have beneficial knock‐on cutting

Rapid population growth, climate change, and resource depletion pose significant challenges to global food production, demanding sustainable solutions. A Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) provides a structured framework for evaluating the environmental impact of systems throughout their entire life cycle. This review examines how an LCA can be integrated with circular economy principles address sustainability challenges, optimize use, minimize waste in alcoholic beverage production. systematic applications agri-food sector was conducted, analyzing studies published across different regions. The selection criteria included relevance strategies, valorization approaches, assessing impacts using methodologies. analysis explores explicitly synergy between wine production within broader system, considering shared opportunities optimization. Key methodologies include cradle-to-grave assessments evaluation waste-to-resource technologies. findings demonstrate that effectively identifies critical hotspots, enabling implementation eco-design recovery practices. Circular such as use renewable energy, precision agriculture, nutrient recovery, significantly enhance sustainability. However, gaps remain accounting social regional variability, well integrating advanced When combined principles, actionable insights policy development Advancing fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration are essential creating resilient environmentally responsible systems.

The Avoid–Shift–Improve framework has been used since its conception in the 1990s to help decision-makers prioritize action towards environmental sustainability transport sector. core of establishes a clear priority among three main strategies that give it name, thus highlighting prominent role demand reduction should have within policy discussions. However, although general formulation allows for fruitful application other sectors, approach and definitions rarely extended beyond transport. In particular, energy sector could significantly benefit from an methodology prioritization over efficiency would be line with optimized path decarbonization. This paper outlines theoretical A-S-I categorization policies terms Avoid, Shift, or Improve strategies. Moreover, presents analysis several databases evaluate what extent are addressing reduction, shift less-carbon-intensive sources efficiency. results study show most energy-related seem support improving current technology (18–33% policies, depending on database is considered) shifting low-carbon (28–48% policies) more than reducing altogether avoiding first place (6–22% policies). Further research recommended strengthen results, especially by evaluating significance each committed investment, as well understand factors contribute Avoid-type being under-represented
