Promoting

Abstract
Similar
to
many
other
developing
and
developed
countries,
China
grapples
with
the
challenge
of
balancing
economic
growth
environmental
preservation.
This
study,
anchored
in
Sustainable
Development
Goals
(SDGs)
7,
11,
12,
13,
investigates
impact
eco‐innovation
sustainable
energy
on
CO
2
emissions
(CE)
from
1980
2020,
using
STIRPAT
model.
Employing
autoregressive
distributed
lag
(ARDL)
model
bootstrap
rolling
window
causality
analysis,
we
uncover
causal
relationships
between
CE
its
determinants,
assessing
them
sub‐sample
periods.
ARDL
estimates
reveal
that
policy
uncertainty,
growth,
urbanization
increase
CE,
while
decrease
it.
Time‐varying
analysis
demonstrates
predictive
capabilities
all
independent
variables
at
various
sub‐periods.
The
study
recommends
substantial
increases
subsidies
tax
incentives
for
renewable
energy,
emphasizing
stable
ecological
policies,

benefits.
