Analysing the impact of green finance policies on urban energy efficiency contributes to finding solutions promote development China's low-carbon system and global reduction greenhouse gas emissions. Utilizing Chinese data from 2006 2021, study employs an enhanced non-radial distance function (NDDF) model evaluate 282 prefecture-level cities. It examines 'Green Finance Reform Innovation Pilot Zone' policy as a quasi-natural experiment. uses double machine learning analyze its effect mechanisms. The research demonstrates that significantly improve efficiency, mainly through strengthening environmental regulation, fostering technology innovation, optimizing industrial structure. Additionally, in-depth analysis regional heterogeneity reveals variations in policy's effectiveness across eastern, central, western regions between resource-rich resource-poor findings suggest efficacy policies, while generally positive, is influenced by economic resource endowment differences. suggests targeted strategies system, customize according specifics, incentivize corporate foster cross-sectoral collaboration. By offering novel insights into sustainable providing actionable recommendations, this advancing centres' sustainability strategic application finance.

Long COVID represents the constellation of post-acute and long-term health effects caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection; it is a complex, multisystem disorder that can affect nearly every organ system be severely disabling. The cumulative global incidence long around 400 million individuals, which estimated to have an annual economic impact approximately $1 trillion-equivalent about 1% economy. Several mechanistic pathways are implicated in COVID, including viral persistence, immune dysregulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, complement endothelial inflammation microbiome dysbiosis. devastating impacts on individual lives and, due its complexity prevalence, also has major ramifications for systems economies, even threatening progress toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals. Addressing challenge requires ambitious coordinated-but so far absent-global research policy response strategy. In this interdisciplinary review, we provide synthesis state scientific evidence assess human health, systems, economy metrics, forward-looking roadmap.

Post Covid-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian war are significantly impacting energy systems worldwide, faltering investments threatening to throttle expansion of primary clean technologies, even in case a well-structured managed system, such as Norway. This unprecedented crisis requires deeper analyses well-measured actions from main actors Norway's climate sector. Hence, providing highlighting needed interventions improvements system is crucial. study analyzes demand-side households, industry, transport, "other" sectors. LEAP model, powerful analysis tool, was used conduct based on Baseline Mitigation scenarios. The demand by sector fuel type toward 2050 forecasted, firstly considering set parameters key assumptions that impact security supply secondly ambitious target government decreasing GHG emissions 55% 2030 90–95% year compared 1990 levels. mitigation scenario aims diversify overall national technological changes large-scale renewable sources (RES) integration. From perspective change issues, EV's include an attractive option for deep decarbonization, including other sustainable H2, biofuel mixed with diesel, use excess heat deriving industry cover households' heating demand, integration pumps driven RES during off-peak applied. Energy projections uncertain, goal show how different up affect whole leading combined global warming potential (GWP) around 7.30 MtCO2 56.40 tones released baseline scenario, reaching only 77.5% reduction referring level. study's findings net-zero ambitions end impossible without carbon tax application capture storage (CCS), especially oil gas industry.
