The intersection of geopolitics and energy security is a critical area study that has garnered increasing interest from scholars around the globe. This paper employs bibliometric theory methodologies to explore research trajectory concerning influence geopolitical dynamics on security. Our findings, derived both quantitative qualitative analysis relevant literature, reveal several key insights. Firstly, there notable upward trend in publications this topic, reflecting widespread recognition intricate link between growing body aligns with exponential growth law observed scientific showcasing novel pattern geographical distribution centered issues. Secondly, an examination collaboration networks at national, institutional, individual levels identifies China as leading country terms partnerships, positioning Chinese institutions forefront field. Lastly, our delineates evolution within domain through three distinct phases—pre-, mid-, post-development stages. Shipping is pivotal for global trade and by extension, the economy. In recent decades industry has been striving sustainable development, as it battles with an arsenal of issues, including its environmental footprint, efficiency, profitability. Australia has been innovative in water resource management and the design of markets recent decades, as reflected policy developments extensive research literature. However, diversity topic areas makes it difficult to summarise literature succinctly. Bibliometric analysis allows investigation a large volume scientific data, revealing trends insights specific field. In this study, we apply bibliometric over 20 years publications (2005–2024) on Australia’s security, governance, trading topics, drawing Scopus database VOSviewer. The data revealed contributions from 187 articles 436 authors, with 5 documents cited more than 100 times. Results have analysed several ways identify patterns co-authorship, co-occurrence keywords, citation countries, bibliographic coupling, co-citations. Double-log regression was applied predict factors underpinning level document. References, page count, article age, impact factor, authors positively correlate total count. While some limitations, results help body published that make papers influential others.

ABSTRACT This essay systematically reviews articles on geopolitical risk (GPR), providing a detailed analysis of publication trends and research themes. The results revealed that the rise in GPR has led to severe economic repercussions, including depressed activities, reduced investments, constrained domestic credit, disrupted global supply chains.
