Purpose From the perspective of dynamic capabilities theory, supply chain digitization (SCD) enables manufacturing corporations to adapt carbon neutrality goals by enhancing their ability sense, seize and reconfigure resources. However, trade policy uncertainty (TPU) disrupts corporations’ strategic planning investment decisions, affecting SCD transformation. This paper provides insights into relationship between corporate performance (CCP) under TPU, aiming assess how can enhance a corporation’s achieve emissions reductions growth. Design/methodology/approach Using data from listed Chinese corporations, difference-in-differences model, mechanism-testing model moderating-effects are tested. Findings The findings reveal that significantly enhances CCP, with stronger promotion effect observed among characterized as state-owned, heavy pollution, capital- technology-intensive positioned at midstream industrial chain. mechanism is reflected in impact on green innovation, total factor productivity internal control capabilities. Furthermore, TPU exhibits negative moderating CCP. Originality/value explores causal CCP conjunction theory. inspiration for management emission reduction dividends transformation corporations.
